    My thoughts:

    • Between Sky Lynx and Double Dealer, this line is now called, "Transformers: War for Cybertron: Dino Chicken Birds Rise"
    • The fact that Sky Lynx has "magnificence" emblazoned on his body makes me laughingly happy.
    • Smokescreen, like Star Scream, leaves me thinking, "While the concept of cybertronian versions of classic characters is fun and has never been super well explored before and I'm glad the did it, part of me just wishes they had just used those resources for other characters and given us these G1 Earth versions in the first line instead."
    • Best CHUG Arcee ever imo
    • Scorpinok is amazing.
    • Sky Lynx size will disappoint some but I think he's suitably and impressively huge.

I thought Runabout's height was the same height as Cliffjumper.

That's what a lot of people were saying, but not so.

    At the 5:45 mark.

    Main points of interest...

Snapdragon to go with the Apeface we got in Siege.

Mirage with a Decepticon insignia! Fans have long theorized that the reason Mirage wasn't trusted is because he may have originally been a Decepticon and now Hasbro seems to have made that long standing fan theory canon with this figure.

Alicon… though now I wish the Titan Masters Sharkticon was a Deluxe as well... Though the beast mode on this thing looks wrong. Mainly because the beast mode arms are clearly attached the robot mode elbows and they did nothing to hide those robot arms. Also I think the arms should be higher up on the body, like where the robot mode shoulders are rather than down by the elbows.

Quintesson Judge... and they even worked in a transformation into something that isn't suppose to transform... but I have no idea what the heck that is suppose to be. Anyway... I hope they make more of these cause there were a few different Quintesson body types in the cartoon and I'd love to have a whole set of them.

There's also a bunch of "Earth mode" version of Siege figures that barely look any different since the "Cybertronian" modes already looked like Earth vehicles to begin with. What a surprise... Woo hoo…

How does this line up manage to be interesting and dull at the same time? Depends which figure you're looking at. lol

Depends on what you want, I guess. I think they are excellent representations of toys that came out in... 1988? But I found those designs - many of the post movie designs, truthfully - to be underwhelming. The ape, dragon, and bird modes of those three characters were clunky and unconvincing. I would have liked them to do a better job updating those designs.

Megatron is kind of disappointing, but given how great the Siege mold is I'm not sure there was any way to make it better. At least this is a version with a silver paint scheme and no battle damage for those who had issues with it's first release.

Otherwise... Smokescreen, Starscream, and Prime are the only repeat figures, and both are new molds. Since Seige Smokescreen was an exclusive, it'll be new to most buyers (and I'm guessing Prowl etc will now be the online exclusive). Scorponok, Sky Linx, Wheeljack, Cliffjumper, Doubledealer, Snapdragon, Grapple, Arcee, Allicon, Air Wave... maybe not new characters, but new to the toy line. It would have been very easy to do the Unicron Trilogy route of releasing every new mold with a new deco.

Any confirmation yet that Runamuck has 2 wheels per foot? None of the official pictures I've seen show his feet, & in the video it looks like he might, but it's either flipped on it's side or it's just a spur on the back of the foot.

Didn't they say the plot is Megatron wants to use the Allspark to reformat the Autobots? This could play into that.

They specifically said that Mirage was an undercover Autobot.
I'm still going to call him ILLUSION though :D

It's not really an issue of make it better. It's an issue of War for Cybertron Siege was suppose to be Cybertronian vehicle modes. And now we have Earth Rise putting them in their Earth Vehicle modes but they look EXACTLY THE SAME! I mean there's some slight differences in paint but at a glance it looks like they're just re-releasing the exact same figures with no changes.

The whole idea of having Cybertronian and Earth vehicle modes out of the same figure would be awesome if they were extensive retools with clearly different vehicle modes... but the "Cybertronian" already looked so much like their Earth modes to begin with that there's almost no difference between the two.

I'm not sure what you're even talking about here. Most of the characters you just mentioned weren't even in this assortment.

We have always had molds from previous lines returning for new lines. It’s a staple of Transformers that has been in practice since 1984 and continued in almost every line to the present day. Earthrise is no exception.

I\'m not interested in the Seige show repaints, as they\'ve either got battle \"cr@pple-damaged\" paint on them and/or I\'ve already got the OSKO versions.  Megaton looks tempting, apart from the tally marks on his chest, but I\'ve already got the better OSKO version.

Rather odd to have the show coming out after most of the toys have already been sold and replaced by a new line.

"We've got names now for the Battlemasters included with the Battle Packs. Megatron comes with Captive Lionizer, and Captive Pinpointer, while Hotlink comes with the "flamethrower twins" Heartburn and Heatstroke. The Magnus spoiler pack is listed as including Ultra Magnus, as well as Battlemaster Rung. The product copy also notes that you can dig out energon cubes hidden in a "compound" inside the box."
