You should first put the pictures of both the figures next to each other, then realize that is total nonsense.

- The Windscreen for both figures is flipped the other direction
-Cliff jumpers lower leg is not part of the alt mode, but inside part. While Runamuks is part of the front half of the car.
-Runamuks hands transform into the lower arm while Clifjumpers stay straight *to grab the rear of the car/shield*. So seemingly there is no disassembly for him.

Often people jump to conclusions based on first glance or just what they believe to be so.

Is anyone aware if skylynx's neck is a bunch of hinges, balljoints or just one peice? Can't really tell. Anyone there that can confirm which if these it is? It's likely static but nonetheless

 

I think they all look great except Megs. They didn't remold him enough, he's just too similar to the Siege version.

 

Dang right. I'm hoping that they'll pull an Omega on us with this guy and change the design to fix that because it better be a really, really strong joint to accomplish what they're hoping it will. That's a lot of weight to carry on those and I have high doubts they can. (Watch a 3rd party make new feet/ankles and it'll be like eighty friggin' dollars for the set...)

Onto the rest of the reveals...

Arcee is a hard pass. I want to buy her to support female figures being produced, I do, but I'm having a really difficult time opening my wallet for her. Ooof...
Sky Lynx is incredible. An absolute must-have.
Runamuck is a bit rough. I'll buy him because I don't have the Battlechargers, but dang.
Slitherfang is OMGADORBS. I will own him, and love him, and call him George.
Snapdragon looks GREAT.

Man, there is some incredibly great stuff coming this year. Dang.

Final note, for now... I'm glad we're getting Knok and Skar, but I'm a little surprised we didn't get Buzzsaw with Frumble (not getting into that discussion). I mean, it's nice that Ratbat is getting some love as far as mold uses go, I'm just surprised is all.
No mention of a Blaster, at all. I guess he could come next year... BUT I'm glad I bought UT Soundmixer again. I'm not losing out on a good Blaster, again.

 

The way it pegs makes me think you could just push it slightly out and rotate it, making it so you can transform it without removing the back of the car.

Also in these pictures we see the "hoverboard" transforms a bit more than what we saw in the render, not that it makes much of a difference but oh well.

 

Okay, for clarification: there were two Megatrons announced today? The one in the white box for the Netflix show, which is a metallic repaint of the Siege figure, and the new Earthrise one?

 

Correct. The Netflix/Walmart one also has battle damage on it, according to the renders shown prior to the livefeed.

 

Yeah, I like it. I passed on the first two (and I literally got SS 07 Megatron two days ago) but I might go for that one.

 

How tall is scorponok the same size as fort max?

How tall is that Scorponok? The pre-orders are saying 11inches. That can't be right.

 

i was hoping the prototype of megs might look better than the render but it looks much worse.

 

Arcee and Runamuck are both cases of "I'm gonna wait to see what they get redecoed/retooled into before I commit". If we get a Paradron Medic from this Arcee, I'll go for that, since I never got the TFCC one. I do have the TFCC Battlechargers though, and while this new one looks better, the faux chest sucks, plus I could see this being retooled into Sunstreaker (if Wheeljack isn't used for that). There's a handful of carformers that mold could be used for if HasTak wanted to go beyond the two Battlechargers.

Doubledealer is bought on sight, possibly 2 of them if the head is small enough. I feel like if the proportions work out maybe the head can be replaced with a Titanmaster port and I could use the Takara Clouder headmaster. Also, I'm so happy we're getting his Powermasters and love the retooled heads!

Megatron is a big fat meh. If I find it for cheap, maybe, but I'd rather we finally get a proper green and purple G2 redeco.

I'm surprised at how much I like the Netflix redecos. Probably gonna go for Mirage, Sideswipe (as I reprolabeled the original one into an Earth mode), Hotlink, and possibly Magnus depending on what that looks like.

Everything else is a hell yes from me. Can't wait for Scorponok.

Oh my snapdragon and Skylynx look amazing must buys. Slitherfang and Allicon as well finally a better beast mode pic that he looks right in one of the shots. Robot mode of course great on him.

 

Yikes. That Arcee backpack is shameful.  They could have at least made the thing transform into something hoverboard looking, which would have been cool IMO.  But just being this lazy is shameful.
And man, that Scorp foot is perilous.  How did that make it past the design stage?

 

It looks like Doubledealer might end up being the first Generations leader we've gotten since POTP that uses the mass and bulk of the price point to make a traditionally leader-sized figure (as opposed to the Magnus/Shockwave/Astrotrain/Prime model of using the leader price point to release a voyager with extra parts). It's a little hard to gauge from what we've seen, but given Doubledealer's relative lack of extra parts and his apparent size next to Scorponok, my fingers are crossed.

 

I think most of the lower leg is hollow anyway, meaning that the lower leg mass is mostly in the front of the shin.
