This is what I was thinking. Knok and Skar can fit in DD chest as "cassettes". For MW Soundwave. The bird mode is a vulture or a buzzard (turkey vulture) and one of Soundwave's minion is named Buzzsaw.




Far Dark Syde Megatron, the "cassette" is a smaller version of BW Megatron based on this or his pre- beast mode robot form in the first episode

Also you've got him using arms for the front legs. Make them leg modes.

 

I love how his arms are not as dinky as on the G1 toy, but al the rest is spot on.

A bat that turns into a rectangle, and a little guy who turns into a rectangle and come as a pair don't strike me as new toolings.

Ratbat also has a 5mm peg that just plain doesn't work with Soundwave. He can't use it to perch on Soundwave's arm the way Laserbeak can, and if Soundwave holds him, he either faces up towards the ceiling or towards the floor, not forward.

It's an incredibly awkward position for a 5mm peg that only really works in rectangle mode.

Which sounds like Knok and Skar to me.

 

How many of those are in the first wave? ZERO. Instead we have Megatron, Optimus, Starscream (which means seeker repaints), Smokescreen (which means Barricade, Prowl, Bluestreak). 4 characters that just had new figures for siege. I never said thats ALL they are making but I think they could hold off till later waves for them. Why not tweak the siege mold and give us Sunstreaker (instead of a new Smokescreen)or give us Jazz, Hot Rod, Kup, etc.

To me that is tantamount to heresy. G1 toys might be clunky but they are THE toys that started it all. And I want them ALL. My quest to complete G1 is still not over, and will last long.
I am really surprised some older fans would have such callous attitudes about G1 toys...
