TT Hotrod is too short for my money. Hoodlum works better being almost the same size as Jabber, Koot and Rouge to my mind. I think FT got the scale right for the most part.

It's good that people have options though. I mean, I get why people prefer other 3P Arcee figures, but to my eyes only Rouge comes close to reflecting my preferred animation aesthetic.

How are they going to make a height chart then put Wreck gar hunched over?

    That scale chart isn't 'official'...

That said, TT still deviates from the official scale chart. They made the Van bros bigger, Fuso Bros bigger, Ultra Magnus way bigger, Shockwave arguably smaller, and Tracks arguably bigger. Some say the Carbots are too small, but they seem okay to me. One of the Bumblebees is off, if not both...I just know the two figures are different sizes. Any others? Probably, but those are what I know.

Well, MP-10 was supposed to be the start of the current scale (so I'll overlook MP-08), but that's shorter than MP-44. Ratchet and Ironhide are definitely too tall and so is Bumblebee V2.0. Soundwaves cassettes are a little small (but shouldn't be as big as the MMC ones). A few mm here and there doesn't bother me, but anything over half a head bugs me. Obviously it's unavoidable in some circumstances on account of the engineering, but even so...

I warmed up to her a little, but I still don’t like her height, I don’t like her feet, and I don’t very much like her overall compared to FT’s version. If FT’s didn’t exist, I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it though — I’d very much likely get it — but... you know. Lol

If I really wanted to “play” with a very posable figure that much (and at that height), I’d just “play” with a figma.

She looks better than TT’s attempt though.

I really wish fanstoys would have went with swappable posed hand. I know that drives some people crazy, but rouge feels like it wasn’t designed to be played with. The pin in rouge’s hands a real eye sore. No where near as bad as the mold breaking “ankle rocker” on azaela

Yeah I agree, I feel like the Takara version needs that too. You just can’t have her hands look right in certain positions. Might as well have some nice posed hands and have some choices.

I love FT Rouge, except for the thin bars for the backpack. I’ll probably get mp51 if the price is good, but I have to see both in hand to determine which I’ll keep. I was able to compare Hound and FT Willis in hand and Hound just didn’t impress me at all, especially for the price.

Pretty sure Takara won’t advertise Arcee with suggestive/softcore pics.

I had thought Takara's backpack was connected similarly, but I went to check before responding just now and I was wrong. However now that I recognize the parts for what the are they are another knock against MP-51 for me. I guess it would be her collarbone, between her shoulders and neck, but those pieces do no look good there.

Welp. Like my first Rouge, the shoulder Pauldron on my second Rouge just fell off in the same exact place too. She was chilling on my shelf, fell on her back on the same helf, and the super tiny pin holding it on that swivel arm thing broke. I'm officially done with FansToys products.

It's now evident to me that they are overpriced, poorly held together junk. Very disappointed.

Aside from the Upcoming BFB EX-01 Nicee, it's the only Arcee figure I really liked. :(

Her hip joints were super floppy too. Stupid Diecast. :(

    @GAUGE -

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not a FT fanboy (nor a G1 one); but I think it’s unfair to say they’re overpriced junk. I mean you can have your opinions but ....

I have never, ever had a single issue (outside of minor things mostly everybody experienced, like “loose ankles” on their Hound) with any of my FT stuff.

My FT Arcee’s (yes, two of them) have never fallen over or have ever given me any kind of issue. Their pylons/etc are fine. They’re not brittle on mine, or in danger or cracking of breaking.

I think what you consider overpriced junk, is what I consider the official MP line nowadays. At least she didn’t crumble in the box or have a bunch of hair like fractures and breaks in her plastic after 3 days (or again, right of the box).

Maybe you can use her for spare parts, a custom or sell to someone on here for a discount. Good luck.

What are you talking about? Children's toys? Hardly. Who the hell is spending £80 on this for their kids?!

Playability has always been a key aspect for Jobby's reviews.

Rouge sure has shelf presence but she's is not fun to handle with the floppy backpack and hideous transformation.

Yeah... Masterpiece figures are clearly adult collectibles not children's toys.
