This is a great figure, but in my opinion, the lack of a neck joint and a lower jaw for the shark mode needed attention. I cut off his robot head and drilled a small 3mm hole in the head and the neck, and used the handle from a 3mm diameter Lego stick to connect them back together, giving Sky Byte a neck joint. I find having that swivel really helps give him some personality.

The shark jaw is taken from a spare Beast Machines Hammerstrike. The jaw is made from a soft plastic that was easy to carve into shape. I then painted the jaw silver and added some extra silver paint apps to bring out some of his details. Now he’s part of my main CHUG collection.

Oh wow, he's a neat little guy.

I've been sleeping on these dudes, but that's easily the best Sky-Byte you're gonna get at that scale. Great work.

Nice job. I got this guy, and love him far more than I expected. I like to deploy the wings for shark-nado action

This guy was my favorite bot from the 2001 RiD. Its great to see him getting more attention with Cyberverse and new toys.

Awesome mod! I stole your idea for the neck joint but will have to get creative for that bottom jaw. Thanks for the inspiration! 66A1ED48-1553-476C-ABC9-3CE2326C05BA.jpeg
