Trying to decide between these two. Looking for recommendations from those who have experience with both of these.
    Thanks!

I like my MMC Trailbreaker. The way that his chest slims is a nice touch.

His transformation is a bit counterintuitive at first, but kind of cool once you get it.

Parts are toleranced well. He has common issue with one foot being loose. If it were an arm or hand, that would be a major problem, but since his weight rests on the feet, it is pretty minor issue for me.

You do have to be careful when transforming back to truck mode, as if you forget to bring out the mirrors before bringing the sides in, you can damage them.

    Here he is with repros

I'm just starting my G1 display and I have MP Wheeljack, Sideswipe, and Rachet on the way. I really like the toon version of the XTB Trailbreaker but, I'm concerned about his height with my other figures.

I have 2 of xtb and 1 of badcubes and mmc. The xtb toon version is with my s1 shelf. Reasons being mainly the height and waist. Mmc has a die cast rod for the waist which I wasnt a fan of. There was a gap you could see when the ab crunch wasnt used.

I had the MMC one and then sold it. QC felt subpar, but then again it could be just my copy.

I now have the XTB one or more specifically the V2, and I like it. Very solid. Nice enjoyable all in one transformation (shoulder cannon in integrated).

I specifically went with XTB because of his height.
He should be between Prime and Ironhide. He is also possibly the heftiest figure I own. Great stuff.

That's what I felt as well. Mmc is about ironhides height. Trailbreaker should be a bit taller to me.

I’ve MMC and XTB both. MMC first and then picked up XTB on the reissue. Got the limited edition silver parts too.

Verdict: MMC is still with my MP display. I find XTB too tall and their decision to use white for the shoulder joints distracting. Nice bot though.

MMC is a little shorter than Ironhide.

Here he is next to Ratchet. Both are in very similar stances.

Maybe it doesn't align with the Sunbow chart, but he fills in the gap between Datsun height characters and the Vanettes.

MMC for me, tho i would have gone with Badcube if it was available just because they bothered to put some silver paint on those thighs and arms, but i do like that MMC has the toy version head (which i have installed and on display).

XTransbots version looks nice, but its far too tall, i think he should be in the same size class as Ironhide

That’s one of my few nitpicks with the XTB reissue (which replaced my Bc version). Those white shoulder joint stick out like a sore thumb and ruin a great figure for me. I really need to try and paint them.

The face sculpt on BCs sold me, and he's still mine as none of the others were worth trading up for imo.

I know it's not what the poster was asking about but I catch so much flak for doing the same thing I couldn't resist. I didn't feel a need to upgrade from BC either but I can get why people who have all 3 in front of them and a choice to make would want to know the details of all of them. :)

MMC. Still loving him. XTB looks good but he's too tall.

XTB, he's about the right size. MMC looks good but he's way too small.

    I have both.
MMC is nice and I do like his silhouette/body shape, but he is way too short. The Xtransbots one looks great with the current TOON centric MPs.
MMC will fit into both styles: Toon and the older MP Toy styles.

    But my pick is XTB

If we go by the Holy Scale Chart MMC is the correct height. He is mid bicep on Optimus. XTB is up to Primes shoulder. BUT TT made Iron Hide and Ratchet too tall so for the toys to be somewhat correct and scale with each other XTB is the one you should buy because he's between the Vanettes bot size and Prime.

    The *Definitive* Sunbow Scale Chart

If you care about scale that is. If not buy the one that looks best to you.
