Who is the aircraft carrier looking bot with the white/blue/orange color scheme?

 

I've heard the rumors but I don't wanna be hurt again! I'll try to withhold my rage until after Earthrise is either totally over or completely announced, though  

 

Agreed, I'm mean there's no real incentive other than a broader chest and slightly slimmer cankles. So once again I'm predicting that around 15% of these Earthrise Megatron Boxes will be returned back to Target or Walmart with SIEGE Megatron (or 35th anni Meg's) in them.

Yeah, that's for next year's line which finally won't have a tank track backpack in bot mode.

 

Here's the thing about "Doubledealer is a Godbomber pretool..." (Which, really...if it's true we're going to figure it out pretty quick once we see it live.)



That wing on his back sure is fishy.

The pin in his chest doesn't seem to map to anything on the original figure. But would be in a place that could be useful if his upper torso needs to open wide to wrap around someone.

I'm not going to get my hopes up...but I was already interested in this figure and if he combines with the existing UM/GUOP bots...he's a day 1 preorder.

ER Prime doesn't have that feel spur, if I'm not mistaken. Nor does he have that big of windows on his chest.

That's Airwave, the new modulator based on the Micromaster Airport Base.

 

We don't need another Godbomber right now. Those don't look like wings to me, at all. They look like struts that would be deployed to launch the missile. Like how MP Grapple does in crane mode.

 

And I’m excited again. The Megatron and smokescreen were big disappointments, but these look good. Much better reveals

That third cirlce on his leg...it's entirely hollow. Not just to facilitate the transformation...but could potentially come off that leg at the knee and wrap around the Prime/Magnus inner robot.

I'm willing to accept there is a possibility that Hasbro is going to do a PMOP Leader figure in Earthrise. Voyager robot, trailer that breaks down into armor...and then instead of combining with Godbomber...you can break GB down into a different set of armor for *any* of the figures that use the Prime inner robot.

Saturday just got a lot more interesting, and if this is indeed what's happening, it's a pivot towards where I've been hoping they go since the Siege Leaders and weaponizers were first revealed.

Because...yeah...there's no reason for GB to be that chonky unless he has to be able to wrap around somebody else. Would also explain the Leader price point. Even if he's just a voyager...he's gotta have enough plastic and articulation to assume all *four* forms.

I hope that's not the case. It would be a terrible amount of compromise for a figure that already has to transform between three very distinct modes.
The CD Red Alert and Stalker pretool scenarios are a lot more wholesome.

 

Mannnn, Optimus armoring up with Doubledealer only for the DD armor to make him fire on fellow autobots???

Whelp... after Prime, guess we should have seen this coming - they remolded some Siege figures to Earth modes now and they look awesome. Just as I was glad to finally complete all three Fairlady Z Bots, now... I have to collect Smokescreen, Prowl and Bluestreak in earth modes again!By coincidence, totally... anyone wants a Henkei Prowl and Blue Streak?  We are also getting Megatron as an Earth tank. Does not look as good as the Siege alt mode, though.More Micros - Race Car Patrol with Roller Force and Ground Hog, they look just like the old ones. And we have a Mini-Me for Sky Lynx, Fazer and Blast Master who combine to a space shuttle. And Phaser even has guns!!!We are also getting some weird 2-headed shield/ramp Battle Master. Odd design.Airwave looks pretty spiffy, turns into an airstrip like the old base, has a nice flat head... reminds me of Armada Demolishor.

 

These are small pics, so not much can be seen, but Runamuck and Snapdragon look VERY G1. I wonder how big Doubledealer is - he has the big rocket but doesn\'t seem to have a backpack or armor like Astrotrain. Allicon is amazing, looks just like in 1986. Quintesson is the classic 5-faced judge and... has a weird base mode? With a cage made out of the body? Interesting-
 

 

Airwave reminds me of a mini Metroplex

 

Doubledealer almost looks like he has a Titanmaster partner.

 

You’ll buy the same mold four times with 5% difference between them but you won’t buy it a fifth time that is 80% different?

 

He looks pretty good being slightly taller!
