    I'm the opposite.
I have Siege Ironhide and Ratchet- but will happily replace them with proper van modes.

So.. partsforming is the new trend for a toyline with super uncomplicated designs?
first Cliffjumper, Then Arcee, now even Megatron. This has to end! I don\'t collect this stuff but this should not be tolerated IMO. They might call it a gimmick but let\'s be honest. It\'s lazy

I apologize for my negativity but I felt the need to get this out

On the bright side, the Micromasters are awesome! :)

I'm sorry to hear about your Transformers-based part-identification blindness (it's like face blindness).

These look great! I'm definitely getting Smokescreen and Airwave, and everyone smaller. Megatron I'll have to see more pics.

Looking forward to the rest of the reveals tomorrow!

Guess I’m double dipping on the Datsun brothers if Hasbro plans to redo all of them. Airwave looks so cool and unique. Going to definitely buy him.

Yeah, the way they handled that turret kills the figure for me. First Cliffjumper, then Arcee, and now Megatron. The way they're handling detachable parts looks just plain lazy. Oh well. 35th Anniversary Siege Megatron is a nice enough figure that I don't feel the need to upgrade.

So... is the only real difference between Siege and Earthrise figures that the Earthrise ones don't have all the extra mold detail/texture that made them look & feel like they've been dragged across concrete like the Siege ones did?

Nice they did Airwave just right with both of station modes. His new bot mode doesn't look bad either. No bring on Hothouse and Grease pit and to complete the 4 modulars. They also did the right Astro squad members to give us the shuttle. Now give us Quintesson ,Alicon, and Snapdragon please

Yeah, they seemed to be VERY creatively bankrupt with this line. What's next? An newly molded Ratchet that's basically has it's transformation scheme based on Energon Tow-line? Complete with detachable medical bay?

They basically swapped out some parts which now leave Megatron looking more G1 cosmetically but functionality matters more to me. Is the hip range improved, how about the knees? The elbows aren't.

At least with Smokescreen the knees are now placed lower which will definitely help when posing(the high knees on the SIEGE Datsuns made kneeling and crouching poses more difficult than I expected).

What’s the most interesting thing about these reveals is that Hasbro paid a license fee for the Astro Squad... there’s no other way they could’ve slapped the NASA logo on the space shuttle Micromaster. Would that be a completely new license as I don’t believe the space shuttle design itself trademarked?

I wish Megatron had a more chiseled face like the Combiner Wars leader, THAT IMO, is the best Megatron head sculpt from recent years. The SIEGE and ER Megs head sculpts look too soft to me.

The Earthrise ones look more boring, yes.

TBF, when I saw Airwave’s thighs I did have to look at my Brunt because they seemed similar. But they’re clearly different once compared.

As long as they give it the Marvel-colored head he's still never gotten on an actual toy, I'm in!

Guess they played me for a fool. Oh well, I suppose my only say in the matter now is whether or not I buy all these re-dos :/

I do wonder if people were right about there being alternating design teams. It's weird how this low-effort partsforming is suddenly common when it wasn't before.

Oh well. At least we have Sky Lynx.
