What is it with Arcee figures with faces like a Guy ?
That is two of them in a row now ? Maybe is someone remakes the "Hoverboard" it might help - but I guess it can be combined with a stray ramp and used as a shield too. Her robot mode isn't completely horrible - nothing spectacular - but I don't mind a placeholder Arcee for a change consider there is several Hundred un-needed Bumblebee's a shovelware Arcee doesn't offend me.

Scorpy seems "Fine" If the claw shield fits on his tail that would be nice ; if it doesn't i'd like an adaptor. Fast Track seems OK - nothing brilliant but he's a rare legends size - which is nice.

Sky Lynx is nice in all mode accept Dinobird which is completely terrible in pretty much every way. Not something i'd pay £90 for though.

Zarak (or whatever they call the head) seems OK I guess.

But nothing especially exciting here really - But to be Honest I'm not really feeling Earthrise I've still not bought any of it - I don't think I like the style it's made in it seems overly cuboid & has to many superflous character choices overall. (Wheeljack is kinda pointless) & there is a very long list of people with a problem with Cliffjumper.

So it's more of a line i'll trip over than one i'll search for- I'm much more interested in chasing Botbots right now.

Yes. We need more variety in CHUG beyond "oh hey, we're remaking the 1984 cast for the twentieth time."

Okay Takara, bring on the limited edition Black Zarak and give us the Grand Max and BZ weaponizers (Black Roritchi and uh... Kogu - sigh... Cog 2) in a vs. two pack.

We've had plenty of partsforming toys throughout all of Transformers.
These two are no different.
There is no new trend.

Hell, ALL the weaponizers and modulators are partsformers.
It's the whole fucking point of Cog and co.
If they can be let off for it, I fail to see why Arcee and Cliff are the exception.

 

I mean, they're accessible to children, but it's pretty evident they're targeting these to adults who grew up with G1.

 

I only have a problem with the hoverboard because it's......not a hoverboard.

It's a broken piece of car. It in no way looks like anything other than a broken piece of car.

If it actually had some transformation to it and turned in to ANYTHING I'd give it a pass. But no.

It's Arcee standing on a piece of her own butt that fell off.

Arcee looks okay. Pretty happy with the thrilling 30 one though. Might pick this mold up if they repaint it into the Paradon Medic colors.

Everything else looks freaking amazing. Hope we see more on Saturday.

 

Whelp, time to look for a cheap Combiner Wars SkyLynx.

 

Yeah, this. If you want an Arcee that has the body proportions of a human woman, sacrifices have to be made. That means shellforming.
And if you want a cartoon-accurate backpack on top of that, you require partsforming.

If you want an Arcee that incorporates all her vehicle parts, then you've got the TR version, and that's the best you're gonna get.

I know Hasbro OWNS Wizards of the Coast, but that doesn't mean they ARE wizards.

 

Like I said, so close and yet so far... just needed Countdown and a way for him to fit aboard the shuttle and Sky Lynx would bury Omega Supreme as "Micromaster Rocket Base 2.0." SOOOOOO close, Warden... and you drop the ball at the ONE YARD line.

 

I think it'll be better if the hoverboard of arcee isn't a just plain car parts.
If it'll be able to transform into weapons or a pure hoverbaord, I think that's more ok.
Like something useful rather than an excess plastic part pretending to be a weapon.

 

I finally I want a Skylynx, and Hasbro actually pulled it off very well. Scorponok, hopefully all of those different paint apps make it on to him for the final release. Very pleased here overall.

 

Maybe it was too hard to keep Sky Lynx looking as good and accurate as he is while also looking like countdowns base so they took some inspiration but that was it. Anyways I'm perfectly happy with Sky Lynx as he is and who knows, maybe we'll see Countdowns base as a large modulator further down the line at some point.

 

Sky Lynx and Scorpy are sooo cool! I want them so much.

Now just show/give me Snapdragon then I'll have all 3 of my most anticipated (and some of my most fav) guys.

After that and the other 2 Target Master cars I might be done!   (unless a more reasonable Unicron comes along one day).

 

Very impressive indeed and I mostly buy MP and 3p.
