Yeah it haunted me for years because I vaguely remembered having him but not his name or subgroup, just that he had a big cool car that opened up like Pacman, and that he turned into a block that I thought was the car's engine. I asked around once but nobody remembered.

 

i barely collect anymore but the NASA tampographs make me want sky lynx so bad. that's such a small detail but it's co col.

 

Wow. REALLY wish the hoverboard compacted more to hide the fact it's a chunk of car. Admittedly lopping off half of the car body allows a mainline toy to be Arcee better than most attempts, it was a worthy use of partsforming, but not nearly as forgivable as using a rear windscreen as a shield. Maybe some third party will make a better one, but if they don't, this one at least folds the wheels away and she can stand on it; I guess that'll do.

Skylynx is simply great. And the extra trick they gave his cat half is a nice bonus. I still adore Magna Inventa, but TBH the bird half is more work than it should be and it has made me legit think "gee, I wish this was easier to play with". I already got Prime lined up, so this is going to be my only other "Yes, definitely now" of the line. The other hits I'll file away to when I get to them.

Scorponok looks good, less of a building and more of an alter, but it engages with deluxes which is huge in it's own right. Good place to put a throne; and points for trying to make the scorpion head look like a head.

 

Definitely going to be getting Sky-Lynx and Scorponok as soon as they hit.

No "I'll be waiting for a sale" from this guy here!

Strange, because it's not like the shuttle is all that realistic.

I guess it can't be helped: you make the windows and nosecone black and it doesn't look like Sky Lynx.

 

She's growing on me, but I do wish they had done more with he r part. Maybe make it A.I.R. lock compatible?

 

Arcee is disappointing. I had hoped they would put some effort into the backpack instead of just making it detach.

Don't care for Sky-Lynx.

Fasttrack looks neat but I'll wait to see if he gets a cool repaint.

Scorponok makes me wish I collected Titans. Hopefully we'll get a leader or commander version some day.

 

Or turned them into tonfas for her forearms. Again, it's no so much the partsforming that bugs me so much as it doesn't do much other than look like a slab of plastic. @Shin Densetsu makes a good point regarding what it might look still attached to bot mode, though, so there's that. Maybe it'll make a passable skirt, cape, or something that enhances the look of the botmode.

 

Kinda like how if you fold the kibble on the PotP Moonracer mold a certain way, it looks like they're wearing long coats.

 

I'm confident that Arcee's backpack has some parts that haven't been transformed. As well, that car-front hanging behind her head looks like it can fold up more.

As usual, these renders are every bit as bad for showing off a product as Hasbro's old mistransformed pictures were. Reserve your judgment, bile and vitriol until the thing is in hand and transformed properly.

Any idea where Scorponok's shield goes in alt mode?

 

The fact their solution to the Arcee backpack after so many attempts by themselves and others is as simple as just taking it off is so fucking hilarious

All of this looks fantastic.

I skipped previous versions of Arcee, and thankfully because I do think this is the one I've been waiting for. In this case I prefer the excess kibble detaching instead of being a huge backpack, though the 'hoverboard' concept feels forced and I'll just set that piece aside.

 

Scorponok looks outstanding.

 

This. They're like "Are you happy with your Arcee yet? Is the bot mode CLEAN ENOUGH YET????"

 

That's what I ended up doing. Otherwise they look like they're going to be camping in the mountain for 5 years with a big ass rucksack.

 

Out of all the Siege figures so far Scorponok is the one I want the most along with Fasttrack of course. My only gripes so far is the lack of cannons on the back of his shoulders, the skinny calves, the gaps where his ankles are, he doesn't even have his gun and I wish his horns were bigger. I really am hoping 3rd parties will take care of all these issues. Everything else though looks excellent.

 

It's one of those things that looks so good you'd think the designer did it on purpose and the instructions just whiffed on it.

 

It looks off. Adding that extra little line might make it more show accurate, but it makes it look like she has an exposed forehead. Especially since they didnt paint her face pink like in those cartoon pictures. They left her face white like her helmet. Aweful. Hopefully they paint her face.
