I like those - the only thing that put me off them in the past (though I do have some) is the lack of their weapons and that sometimes they are slightly simplified. (Like Ravage's ankles) It's a shame that shapeways weapons for them would be so expensive as adding some scaled up repro stickers and some weapons and they'd be really nice (even in crazy colours). I kinda wish the slightly oversized Soundwave KO had additional cassettes made for him too.

It feels wonderful in hand and includes a handful of upgrades, like moving wheels and wrist rotation. He is the same height as recent Hasbro legends, but noticeably bulkier (which is not a great thing in my opinion).

 

so similar to earthrise cliffjumper in size? the moving wheels is a great upgrade from the original and something that would have turned me off of the figure if it hadnt been changed

I like him. I like the size and bulk ration... it helps him fit in with larger figures, rather than just looking way too tiny, I think. But yeah, he'd be a bit too bulky in the regular Legends minibots line-up. He seems to scale really nicely with the Siege stuff I have.

Quality is good, joints are tight, nice to play with. Articulation is great, all things considered!

I didn't like his stock headsculpt.. his horns were too pointy and his chin was too thick, so I sanded both down a bit, and he looks a bit better now (to me).

On the down side, I think he has a bit too many folding panels. It helps give him a cleaner robot mode, but the vehicle mode feels a bit broken up like it just has too many weird seams in it. Also, for some reason it really bugs me that the size of his front windshield doesn't line up with his side windows. I can appreciate the cartoony proportions, but it feels oddly inconsistent there.

Can't speak to the Cliffjumper comparison as there is no way in hell I'm shelling out $20 for a small deluxe partsformer. Will wait for deep discount on black friday perhaps. I can say that KBB BB is the same height as Titans Return Legends BB.

i thought he was a tad taller than the tr bumblebee?

I don't have this KBB Bee (that's a lot of Bs!), but I do have ER Cliff. I think they would work well together. ER Cliff isn't that much taller than a legends class, but he has substantially more bulk. I think the bulkiness of KBB Bee would match nicely with him.

I second that, they look to be almost the same height - nice!

 

He has funny hands, and is very cartoony in vehicle mode - he's fun as a stand alone but doesn't fit well with some other things due to the cartoony alt mode and weird hands. He's cheap enough to buy as a novelty though if you like G1 Bumblebee as a character.

Holy crap! Cliffjumper is REALLY small! I figured he would still have like... a head-height on that Bumblebee. I can't believe they're the same size - I guess CJ is very slightly taller, but Bumblebee is bulkier, even!.

Which isn't surprising, I suppose, since 1/3 or Cliffjumper's alt mode is just... non-transforming junk.

Ooh Paul, is it too late to add a set of these new KO G1 Cassettes to my order as it is not showing as shipped yet? Hope so as that Slugfest is most desired right now!

So I've just added the new cassette 4 pack to my wants list along with one of the CBB CW Red Hotspot's as I've only just realised though probably mentioned before that this particular coloured version is basically done up a proper CHUG Movie Sentinel Prime! Nice!  

 

The "EVE" cyrillic letter-former combiner arrived too. To be frank the plastic feels better on these than the Wall-E set. Same packaging style though, but oddly these had no instructions. Was not hard to figure them out though.
In this one the "E" plays the same terrible music as the X-thing in the first set.
The upside-down L letter I think is meant to turn into EVE herself, fins and all. I love B the most, he is a robot waiter. I need to put some Botbot food on that tray.
Combined mode is pretty articulated, and looks nice.
