Anyone else hoping they change Arcee's gun to opaque plastic for the actual release?

I think from a shelf display perspective, ER Arcee wins hands down. but as a toy...dunno, that remains to be seen how that hoverboard goes on the back.

 

Man, Arcee’s a bummer. 5mm hands, waist swivel and (possibly?) ankle tilts would make it completely superior to the 2014 figure, if it actually had a proper transformation. I think I’ll wait until they do this one in green.

Always loved Scorponok and Sky Lynx as a kid, so I'm really pleased both these upcoming toys look fantastic. Fasttrack's pretty cool too. He's supposed to be a Weaponizer, right?

Arcee appears to be quite a looker too. I kinda wish her partsformy bits would do some extra transforming to make for a more convincing hover board, but at least it kinda-sorta functions as a stand. The lack of wrist swivels is a bit of a bummer though. Her head looks fine to me, I think what has thrown off some users is how the part of her helmet directly above her eyes is colored like her face instead of white. Hopefully this will be fixed for the actual figure.

If I may go back to Sky Lynx for a bit, do we have confirmation both his halves will be sold in a single item, or if Hasbro's gonna pull an MMC Magna\Inventa on us?

I for one love having my figures absolutely covered with kibble. How dare Hasbro make their figures look better by having the option to remove the junk that just hangs off.

Just the very idea of someone playing with their toys incorrectly like that keeps me up at night.

 

Earthrise is such as weirdly mixed bag. You get figures like Cliff and Arcee that are just an odd kind of almost awesome, but not at all actually...And then you get actual awesome like a perfect recreation of Sky lynx with an added base mode that actually weirdly makes perfect sense to be there.

 

Scorponok looks amazing and will look great alongside Fortress Maximus. He may end up being the best Titan released yet.
Sky Lynx looks really good but I'm happy with my Combiner Wars voyager.
Fasttrack is cool but it's not something that I need for my collection.
Arcee looks good too but I'm happy with my Thrilling 30 version.

Now, bring on the Quintessons!

 

Definitely looking forward to adding Sky-Lynx and Scorponok to my shelf. If anything though, Scorponok makes me want Hasbro to make a better Fort Max now.  

 

It's all in one sold at the Commander pricepoint (like jetfire).

 

This is one of those "I'm probably the only who cares" things, but I really, really hope skylynx has enough room in vehicle mode store a few micromasters. I guess I'm think of Armada Jetfire, whom you could configure in such a way that a couple of minicons could store in the shuttle.

sky linx is not for me but they did do an amazing job looks like it will be a really solid toy

 

Looks like Sky Lynx will be my first Commander class figure (might go for Lio Kaiser if I catch it on sale now that "Desaurus" is different  )

There ARE some I like looking at the robot mode.

Until I see more of it and if the extra piece can stay on and not break up the robot look too much, for now - YEAH - I agree with you.

 

That's fair, I'm sure there's no ground set rules the designers are going by or anything like that, but I think a vast majority of collectors probably put the removal of partsforming up there with modern articulation and truer to fiction design as important factors when making their decisions.

It's not that I have a problem with parts forming, it is, I think, that Arcee's part does not look like what they are calling it. Being able to leave it on if fine too but I'm bot sure that'll help her look any better. If the part were a shield I think I'd be OK with it. I had the same problem with some of the parts formed weapons as far back as BW. Magnaboss Prowl comes to mind.

 

Arcee is fucking awful. Not only is her car half partsforming (a lazy tactic), the hood of the car on her chest is fake. She's even worse than Big Convoy. Holy hell. The rest look alright, Fasttrack is the only one I might go after.

 

The description indicates the "hoverboard" is optional, and can remain attached to her back, likely a lot like the thrilling 30 figure.

And this was done because fanboys couldn't admire the prior figure's shapely butt with all the kibble in the way. The KO upscale of the figure also allowed you to remove that part of the kibble.
