Didnt see davidsix's original post, but assuming you'll be adding some elbow grease to this eventually. Soaking can help, but getting this done by hand is always best.

Apologies if I'm being redundant and that's been covered. I'll be keeping mine silver as I like how it breaks him up, but I'm glad those parts are molded green so people can do this if they choose.

You soak it in there for about 3 days, and the paint becomes soft and brittle after that just take a toothbrush and scrub on it and it will all come off. That was what I did and it worked for me. Trick is make sure you use 91% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol and NOT the 70% because the 70% will not scrap off so easily.

Thanks! I really want to spend more time on pics like this, because I know they could be even better, though I am happy with how this one came out for a first (semi-rushed try) this morning.

Old Green is scheduled to be released in March ... I have it on pre-order and am AMPED about it! BTW, I just got the Cell Shaded Devy and LOVE it!

Just wanted to report back here also since I finally have the Cell Shaded & Yellow Dirty Devy - they are GAME CHANGERS. I have the Jinbao OS and really loved it. In fact, I may have loved it just as much as the Toyworld regular constructor/perfect edition (on screen, that is.) But now, compared to these guys, you can tell a difference. My wife mentioned she doesn't even like the Jinbao at all, but the Yellow Dirty Devy is something she is on board with - she likes it better than all the others I have now, and even said my Gigagpower Dinos would look better with grime on them (haha!)

I am MADLY in love with the cell shaded - can't stop staring at it! It just makes my eyes happy.

I just posed my dirty devy a different way, and man ... it makes a difference as to how much I love him! He looks mean, dirty and about to attack you. It is a freaking brilliant piece! They both are.

I give the nod slightly to the cell shaded version as my favorite, but that is a toughie ... based upon what I've seen, I'd say these are easily the best #1 and 2 Devastators I've laid my eyes on by a country mile!

Pics in the next post, since I already made this one.

I think as a one-off figure they are both sensational but do they look weird next to regular MP figures? That's why I went with the more "standard" version. No question though comparing just figure to figure these are cooler.

I loathe seeing a sea of plastic here, so I'm limiting myself to a select # of pieces that I can display on their own ... or in groups, so I'm not sure. All of my Transformers are going to be pieces that may not match each other, but have incredible eye appeal standing apart. When all is said and done, it'll be a mix of chrome, cell shaded and weathered/battle damaged goodness! :)  There likely won't be any stock factory plastic TF here to be seen.

Is anyone getting the orange one? I feel like I really don’t need 2 of these guys but that orange one is just calling to me.

You soak it about 3 days then you take a tooth brush to brush it off. The paint will NOT automatically come off when you soak it, all it does is break down the paint so that it will easily come off when you rub against it.

Day 3 and still nothing. I've been brushing with a toothbrush but the paint isn't coming of. I stirred the parts a bit with my hands an I can definitly smell some paint. Shouldn't matter that I'm using 99,9% right? Can't find 90% here in The Netherlands. Anyway, tomorrow's another day.

I think the other % are just filled with water for anti-bacterial purposes. Pure alcohol evaporates too quickly to kill bugs, or something.

If you all get really stuck, you *could* try DOT 3 brake fluid (not DoT 4). I'm assuming you're an adult and able to work with chemicals safely. I soaked the head on my Toyworld Seaspray which had the TOUGHEST paint I'd ever seen (minus the eye piece) for 8 hours...you might need much less time, like an hour.

Nothing would take that paint off without melting the plastic. Not thinner, not anything. Brake fluid took it right off with a toothbrush and didn't hurt /melt /soften the plastic at all. That said, wear gloves and don't give yourself Leukemia or something touching that crap with bare skin.

It destroys paint but doesn't harm plastics (which is why it doesn't eat through your plastic master cylinder on your car or the rubber parts on the brake lines.). You can get a bottle at any auto parts store for like a dollar (It ALSO comes in a plastic bottle which it does no harm too either since it sits in there a long time before you buy it).
