My prediction for MP-44+ is only going to include Optimus Prime with trailer (toy deco), blue roller with fuel hose, artillery drone, axe, two ion rifles (one skinny, one bloated), one blast effect, and a special alternate head modeled after the G1 toy.

 

There's a lot of speculation in another thread about this new listing for Studio Series Cliffjumper, and what his alt mode will be. Could it be a Porsche? As a G1 Masterpiece collector, that led to this horrible thought:

Would a Studio Series Cliffjumper not be based on his appearance in the Bumblebee movie, and therefore not have an Earth alt mode?

 

Oh yeah, he was only on the moon right? Or a moon? Not earth though I think. I saw the movie once, when it first came out, and haven't really thought about it since, so I forgot about all that. Whew! I think we dodged a potential bullet there!   Or is there something the Studio Series fans know that MP-only fans don't?

I read something recently that they had a full table last year. They won't reveal anything new, e.g. MP52, but I'd say it's quite possible that we'll see a rerun of a couple of weeks ago in terms of inventory

 

New pics of upcoming MPs won't hurt I guess.

 

Do we no longer have a Movie Masterpiece thread?
I was just going to post how strange it is to not have an MPM announced yet. Especially since they seem to release in the summer months.

Doesn't get much traffic, compared to the G1 and Beast Wars threads. That, and the lack of a reveal at Toy Fair, does make me wonder if interest in MPMs is drying up.

I was wondering if the viral outbreak may have caused a delay in announcements, since factories may not yet be working. Which led me to wonder if the announced MPs could be delayed as well.

 

Wouldn't be suprised if they decided to dial back from last year after the issues they had. Eight new molds in 14 months may have been a bit too ambitious.

As far as future MPs we have to keep our fingers crossed nothing gets any worse. Looks like someone else they cleared after 14 days was released back into Japan only to test positive when she got back home and China is well China. If things continue none of this stuff will be a priority .

 

Fyi, check the front page news. Seems there's an MPM reveal but no info. Might be nothing, but there's a unique SKU number...
