If it's the Cybertronian mode, then Cliff is obviously a pre mold for Bumblebee. They're releasing him first so people will scoop up the new mold, and then they'll release Bumblebee later, and people will scoop the mold up again because now it's a main character. Versus if they released Bee first, everyone would pick him up, then they release Cliff second and people are hesitant, like "ehhh do I really need this mold again for a secondary character like Cliffjumper?" It's just smart business

Knowing our luck Leadfoot would probably be a Redcard exclusive like Redwing.

I'm a little disappointed that satellite Soundwave will be a deluxe. I was hoping for Voyager or larger so we could also get an in-scale Ravage that isn't just a missile with a face.

Deluxe sounds about right for Soundwave. Ravage wasn't that big at all and it isn't common for characters to change sizes between modes. Mercedes was a Deluxe, and a Ravage the size of Laserbeak works near perfect

It's only just now occurring to me it's kinda weird to have both Knight and Bay characters in the same line.
I mean, since it's supposed to be a celebration of the movies but Bumblebee was a reboot disregarding most of what was previously set up... it's just kinda ironic.

That's how I would do it, I've always felt it would be preferable. But it doesn't seem to happen so much because Hasbro often load early waves with A-list characters because sales will determine whether they get orders for later waves.

Although it's worth pointing out that the Earthrise line is getting Cliffjumper first and holding back Bumblebee for later. I would say there's a fair chance for Studio Series Cliffjumper not being a Bumblebee earthmode repaint.

I think he means in general. Transformers has been very much about rehashing revisiting G1 and scant few other continuities, with little in the way of new ideas of evolution.

Or that may just be my interpretation.

Remember that usually we get two Bumblebees released within the mainline. In 2018 we had the Old Camaro Bumblebee and the Volkswagen one; last year we got WW2 Bee and Clunker Bumblebee; now this year we got the 2007 Camaro and will be getting Offroad Bumblebee.
With that in mind, I'd say that either ROTF or DOTM Bumblebees will be released, instead of -I'd say- Dino since its still not clear whether Hasbro has found a way around the Ferrari licensing issue or not

Something tells me that Hasbro will one way or another cash in the Dinobots by selling all of them as Leader Class figures (take into account characters like Astrotrain: small figure yet heafty and with plenty accesories)

Considering most of the Dinobot were the same size (Strafe might have been shorter... possibly) and SS is all about scale, they'll probably all be about Grimlock's height if they're all made.

Gotta love the movie news threads, we're still waiting on like what, 3 whole waves to hit retail, half of which we haven't even seen, and 90% of the thread is laundry lists for more random crap that will likely never get made.

There's moving on quick, and then there's moving on before even moving to the thing to begin with.

    probably but not sure

This year I’ve only lived like 3/4 figures the rest are mediocre or bad

even if there are exclusives you should still count them because those are part of the full line
If they didn’t count they wouldn’t have numbers yet they do
    I count them

From certain point of view, they do count, but they are basically more put to a side, and usually don't affect the main lineup, which is the 11 Deluxes, 6 Voyagers and 3 Leaders figures released a year to the general retailers. Exclusives are more their own thing since they don't interfere with the already established rule of 20 figures released a year, considering how most of them aren't distributed wordwide.

With that in mind, I'd say we already have one exclusive confirmed for 2020, which is the Universal Studios Megatron repaint. Now if we base ourselves from the last two years, we usually get a Voyager Class exclusive as well (Thundercracker and the Battle Damaged Megatron), so that is still pending to see which one will be.
Another thing to take into account is that exclusive figures are usually repaints/retools of pre-existing figures within the mainline or borrowed from previous toylines (all the Bumblebees, TLK Drift). So I hope that Leadfoot doesn't end up being an exclusive for the already mentioned reasons
