Can Ironworks stay attached to the ramp and fold up somehow to store inside the trailer?

If anyone has all 4 Generations Leader Class Optimus Primes can you post a group shot in robot mode?

Just want to see the height comparison between TR Powermaster, PotP Evolution, Siege Galaxy Upgrade, and Earthrise.

Good to know, thanks. I might do the same.

I might also consider dremeling off the gray tab on the ramp of the trailer, which is supposed to be the "handle". Since I'll never use it as such, all it does now is get in the way of an operable ramp.

The WFC ones are much shorter, but the plastic quality is far superior, as is he articulation.

The Prime Wars Optimus Primes had embarrassingly limited articulation, hollowed bodies, and plastic quality, by comparison.

The more I fiddle around with this guy, the more he becomes my favorite Optimus Prime.

I need to put him up against my Combiner Wars Megatron. I like the size discrepancy. I always prefer the villains to be bigger than the heroes.

Actually to me the plastic feels about the same on both Prime Wars And WFC.

The only articulation that WFC has over PW is waist and wrist.

For leaders? I beg to differ. WFC feels noticeably more durable. POTP Optimus felt borderline dollar store bad

As ugly as that peg looks I'm more bothered by the fact the handle is so far forward, which combined with how the rifle doesn't have any variance of size makes it look like he;s holding a short stubby tube more than Prime's traditional rifle. It's just a really awful take on that classic weapon which sucks because the little folding gimmick and how it fits on his back in truck mode is really neat and probably one of the best weapon storage spaces he's had in truck mode in a long time.

Also, if any 3rd party company wants to step up and make a kit that replaces the door of his trailer with a proper door and not an ugly dumb shield/base connector thing as well as some other stuff to pimp out the trailer (like a roller and extended cannons for the drone) I'd 100% be down.

My PotP Optimus is somewhere in storage, but here are all of the other Primes (inc. Siege Voyager) lined up together:

Many thanks. I think PMOP and Potp Evolution are about the same height.

    Man that is some shrinkage!

Yeah, PMOP & PotP Optimus stand around the same height.

There's some definite size shrinkage going on, but I'd say the same amount of plastic being used. The Siege & Earthrise figures don't have any hollow limbs, and the plastic feels a lot more high quality because it's being packed more densely into a smaller space.

I'm refusing to buy another G1 Optimus after Earthrise, because I'm getting fed up to the back teeth of seeing that version of Prime over and over.....but I can't find fault with this new Leader figure as a toy, even if I wanted to.

    Sadly yes

If it’s any consolation, the Leader TR Optimus was a hot mess and about as much of a brick as a figure can be in 2019. The CW Ultra Magnus mold in general yields a pretty lackluster robot mode.

WFC does use higher quality plastics. But considering what leaders were in 2009: fully posaeble WITH electronics, the mighty have fallen. Look at what passed as Leader Class between the DOTM line and the Thrilling 30. Seeing DOTM Sentinel Prime and Ironhide next to Thrilling 30 Jetfire will make you weep, man.

The John Warden era figures scream cheap in general and has only really gotten better since Siege. Endless retooling and pretooling.

I will give $20 to anyone who has the balls to ask a Hasbro panel why the figures keep shrinking (and getting hollow) while costs keep rising.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned but I can't really judge without having ER Prime in hand. Are the heads for Siege and Earthrise the same? I am not really liking all the blue around the eyes on the ER Prime so, if it is the same, I was going to a head swap with Siege's that has more silver/grey around the eyes instead.

They probably didn't change the paint masks when they switched gears from yellow eyes to blue eyes. Yellow eyes against blue face would have contrasted just fine. Blue on blue, not so much.

Was it easy? I want to do the same, but I'm worried I'll mess them up.

Trailer looks awful from the back, like it's missing parts. Could a rear bumper be added to it permanently and not interfere with anything?

This Prime would be perfect with red biceps and blue calves.

It looks like the biceps are the same mold as the Siege figure. Could those be swapped out? Does the red even match?

Nope, a bumper could easily be added.
I'm using one harvested from the G1 trailer.

No, the parts look similar but aren't the same. Also, swapping pieces would be difficult with the flat head pins used.
Additionally, the red used for Siege prime is a good bit darker.

Pop it off and pop it on. Simple.
