Generations: fan reactions to Machinama programs (boards)

Cyberverse: Hasbro's most recent earnings call, with TF sales DOWN

I suppose you're looking for Nielsen ratings? But then, I'm looking at this from Hasbro's perspective: the media drives product sales.

In all fairness, the Generations Machinama vids came way after the product... So there is no relevant citation as it could not be measured properly.

But feel free to cite your own sources in a proper counterargument! :p

Edit: Hasbro quotes are not proper citations if you are using them as honest appraisals of success; Hasbro will spin yarns to please/placate shareholders. I.e. ("Cyberverse is doing phenomenally!" - Goldner) is not a proper citation! :)

This can not be overstated. That's the way it has always been. And that's the way it should be.

Among Entertainment One, Boulder Media, Netflix, Paramount, what have you, they seem to have invested in quantity. But time will tell if there will be sufficient quality, to create attachment to the stories and characters, in order for people to want to buy the toy represantation of the characters to live out the stories, like crazy again. Quality stories across media, is to the absolute benefit of the brand.

That most recent earnings call said Transformers sales were down in comparison to the last year of 2018 though. Which was a movie year. They said it was actualy the second best "non-movie year" for the brand since 2007. Having a non-movie year perform weaker than a movie year is natural in any franchise, and being the second best means the decline was smaller than expected.

I legitimately don't think Cyberverse the show is bad, I'm still of the opinion that CN's the problem with the horrible timeslots. In HD, Cyberverse airs at around 4-5AM on CN.

Honestly I think it's time for Hasbro to move away from TV syndication being their main avenue of attracting young fans; they need to go hard on the streaming side of things. It's time for them to partner with Netflix like they did with CN around 14 years ago to make Animated; not half-hearted attempts with companies like Machinima/whatever the rebranded company is now.

I think a project like Aligned was slightly ahead of its' time and not executed properly as a result. The three-pronged media approach would have worked had it been done in an environment that allowed for more collaboration so stuff like the problems between Prime's production hadn't happened.

Most parents just shove a tablet with a streaming service or youtube to their kids now. Hasbro needs to use this to their advantage and learn to game search/recommendation algorithms if they're gonna keep with their current forumla.

If NOT, I think them going full streaming service based has the potential to let Hasbro attract both young fans and old fans because of fewer restrictions on what can and can't air.

Sorry if I'm rambling a bit I'm super tired since I just got home from work but I will explain further if prompted.
...and probably yell about it on the TFWiki and Griffin Rock discord servers...

The HUB was all but pointless and I doubt they've learned much of a lesson from that. So unless they get the producers back who created G.I.Joe: Resolute I'm not holding my breath on new quality.

I'm not entirely sure what this means for the media but it looks interesting. Will watch this with a close eye

Cyberverse streams for free on the Cartoon Network website, timeslots are irrelevant in today’s age of media
