Semantics debates is becoming the new SCALE DISPUTES around here. The only additional kibble I’m not 100% onboard with is the additional forearm panels. The single foreArm-guards on both are already too big and now Tigatron has additional panels bulking them out even further. If I just tell myself that he should be thicker than Cheetor then it works for me but I’ll still check to see if they can easily removed.
lol, I only say it because its a term thats been used over and over to 'excuse' IMO overly complicated/fragile engineering, another one is referring to Transformers as 'puzzles', sure you can like this about them but let's not make out it discounts the flaws that come with it. "I like that it's a nightmare to transform, it's more involved!", "I enjoy spending an entire afternoon squinting at the instructions and rewinding 'how too' videos in order to transform my figure, it's like a fun puzzle!" URGGHH give me a break
I haven't logged on in a while, so this is Exciting news to me! Another BW figure "steals" the 50th slot from some more "deserving" G1 character. I can't be more happy about it. Occasionally I look at my g1 mp's, but I'm constantly picking up and transforming my Beast Wars mp's... And I can't wait to add Tigatron to my burgeoning ranks...
I'm going all in on season one Beast Wars MP, so Tigatron is fantastic to see here. I was a big fan of him in the show and was always disappointed his appearances were so few and far between. Really looking forward to putting him with the rest of the Maximals on my shelf so I can pretend he was part of the main team all along. He really does look perfect, honestly. Nothing to complain about other than maybe the price, but I'll hold my breath until pre-orders go live
Yeah, I did see that. As expected, it seems excessive, but I'm hoping that Amazon Japan will make it more digestible.

in my opinion, Tigatron is completely different from Cheetor. The only "same" part is robot hand, seems to be a simple upscaled part
I’m still over the moon at how well they’ve managed to capture his likeness. He certainly passes my “quick glance” test in this regard - he looks just right. Hard to believe that one of my most wanted BW characters is going to see the light of day so soon. I remember scouring the aisles of toy stores as a teenager, trying to find the original figure, but never got the chance to experience Tigatron until TM-11 was released back in 2007. MP-50 may not be what some had hoped, but he’s definitely a momentous release for me heheh.
At least you got the best version of that mould. I'm so glad such a "momentous" number went to such a niche and fan-favourite character. Someone at TT clearly loves Beast Wars, and clearly wants to see its characters get their due.
Yeah I totally agree that the love shines through in the BW MPs. I think it’s a really special part of the MP line, and to think I was once on the fence about going in on it - mainly on account of not having confidence that it would continue for some reason...
Oh wow, so Tigatron basically transforms back to front from Cheetor, still can't really justify the price on this though. Those 220 is faar to painful. This is where I bow out of Masterpiece.
Yup! Fair enough though, it is very pricey! Don't forget that Amazon Japan tends to discount it pretty heavily, generally around 30%, so keep that in mind. If that's still too much, that's understandable. Sorry you've been priced out
