Since Leader Galaxy Upgrade Prime had yellow eyes and a different more toy inspired sculpt — and could fit on the Siege body and transform — I’m betting he works here as well.

I can easily see a custom of that where somebody also strips the blue paint off the hands and puts Autobot logos on the back, decks the thing out in the inevitable toy repro labels and maybe does a 3D print of his pistol for a G1 “back card art homage”.

Hmmmmmm. Kinda tempted to model some of the concept weapons for Shapeways.

I do not think it works like that . I think the third pic (how I had it) works best. Honesty giving prime a jet pack isn't a thing I would ever see myself doing often .

How many of you guys remember third party company iGear? I used to have their Voyager-scale MP-01 KO Faith Leader. First releases came with an MP-01 ion blaster with a 5mm peg. Dug it up for Earthrise Optimus Prime. He's looking good, I think.

For those who have them both, any chance of some side side comparisons of Siege and Earthrise Ops? Front, side, back for both robot and vehicle? Ta!

Can someone tell me how easy it would be to remove the cod/thighs of this guy? I’m probably looking at painting the thighs white.

    3 related questions:
    1. are the smoke stacks a separate piece?
    2. are they difficult to remove?
    3. Did any third party make less ridiculous ones for Siege Prime / has anyone announced ones for Earthrise?

Can someone please tell me if the G1 Optimus Prime trailer will accept a 5mm peg? I'm thinking of picking up a KO trailer and installing a 5mm peg so I can use it with Earthrise Prime.

That thing needs new legs that actually transform.

It does seem unfortunate that they didn't use some of the transformation scheme from the Siege Optimus legs on this one. I mean if you're going to use some parts, why not use them thoroughly lol.

I did pick this figure up today and while the leg thing doesn't really bother me there are a few minor issues I have. One is the front wheels are color molded in gray and then the tires are painted black-ish. That's fine but they didn't paint the rims silver so they now stand out a bit. I feel they could have painted those as the wheels on the trailer are the same light gray plastic with black-ish painted tires but they get painted silver rims. I feel a bit of consistency would have been nice.

Next I would have liked the two pieces the trailer wheels are plugged into to have been color molded blue to match Optimus's legs and the repair drone as well for good measure.

The face around the eyes needed to be painted silver so the eyes stand out better and I would have liked the gun color molded in black rather than gray and then painted.

Those are my main issues and really I feel they are minor. It's just about damn time we got this style of Optimus Prime since the 2005 Classics figure.

Looking at my Siege Optimus, I can see that it looks like his eyes are a part of the back piece of his head (as usually), but instead of screws the head is glue. Since the Earthrise one apparently uses the same head, I'm guessing it would be a fool's errand to pry the two halves apart, paint the eyes and then glue them back?

Also, is the Cybertron/Galaxy Force head swap just a simple pop'n'swap, or does it require modifications? That would be the easiest thing to do for me.

Has anyone attempted to swap the lower legs between this and Siege Prime yet?

I love the little Legends triple changing Roller for this guy. The one that came with Legends IDW Prime. Looks great.

This. Plus weirdly incomplete rear wheel/bumper/license plate area. Not to mention lacking Roller or any paint on the repair drone

I LOVE the base figure itself (even though I think the red on the Siege voyager is superior). I wish the gun didn’t have the unnecessary awkward gray nipple on the side, though. Not a yuge complaint, but...

Trailer is pathetic. Considering the DOTM Studio Series Optimus came with a bunch of weapons, had a trailer which converted into an armory, and had a base figure with a more complex transformation, the Earthrise trailer seems very phoned in.

I enjoy the base figure but the trailer is not at all worth the $20 add on to a Voyager class figure. $50 doesn’t give you as much mileage as it used to.
