As much as I absolutely hate TLK with every fiber of my body, I'm interested in the whole Unicron set up, considering they seem to have burnt every plasuable plot thread, considering the whole history scene and the fact that they have done absolutely nothing to flesh out the quintessons after two movies with them being a major antagonist.

Then maybe you can help me understand how Unicron could possibly ever be realized, because Unicron as Earth is a surefire way to ensure he will never, ever actually transform.

Because if he transforms...humanity instantly dies. And the films are nothing if they don't completely kiss humanity's ass as how important they are to the plot. The films became something less about the Transformers themselves and more about how important humanity's history is.

All this does, in the end, is reduce Unicron to some vaguely defined threat who will be completely defeated OR be transferred out of Earth, which completely renders the entire point of him being Earth in the first place null and void.

This, on top of the fact it was likely that TF6 was not going to follow up on Unicron, but in fact be the first of several spin-off historical pieces like that god awful looking WWII...thing... while Unicron himself would be saved as a Thanos grade threat, whereupon everything I already outlined still applies because the movies made it clear that nothing actually bad will happen to humanity. We already had chunks of Cybertron rubbing against the face of the Earth and somehow this didn't instantly kill billions of people.

    YouTube (Legacy):
What exactly are those ideas? Unicron? I guarantee you if a 6th film were to happen, nothing you actually want will come to fruition. Instead, you'll get an entirely new plot thread that will focus on something completely different while making small loose references to what you actually care about. You know, pretty much what happened with TLK and it's predecessor film. You'll have a better time getting a group of people together to create a fan fiction ending. While it'll most definitely be terrible, you may get a glimpse of what you actually wanted to see from this half-baked clusterfuck of a movie franchise.

After knowing that it looks like a turd, it smells like a turd, and it feels like a turd, I can't believe some people think there may be a piece of gold at the end of it.

On top of that, some ideas are just...bad.

Given the kind of money at stake here? Simply burning that kind of money, especially after TLK, is absolutely not an option.

It's not how the industry works and recognizing that not all ideas are worth perusing is something that I dare say is a good concept to have in anything, the movie industry or otherwise.

I think you misunderstood me. I’m interested in how they’ll screw up the entire lore of the Bayverse continuity and squander even more potentially good storylines. TLK history scenes are just insanely hilarious and sad at the same time for me.

Ah yes, Unicron is an idea.

And where did you get the idea I wanted a TF6? I'm just saying that there's cool stuff that be reexplored in the movieverse.

I can say something like I want to see the idea of Batman and Superman coming into conflict again. Or a proper adaptation of the Dark Phoenix saga for X-Men.

If you get what I'm saying with the last two examples, I'll give you some credit.

Agreed. . .And as much of an 80s child I am, there were some aspects of G1 and the G1 '86 movie I didn't and still don't care for. . .Oh, the irony:eek: :D :lol

I wish James Wan or Zack Snyder to take over the franchise.

They have to finish what they started, no matter how bad the Bay-verse is. At first I wanted TF6 So bad but after a while I didn't want it anymore, we can't afford to have another Bay-verse shit show.

Wan would be fine. Aquaman was a lot of fun.
Snyder is just another Bay, but with phallus envy.

Why? They have no obligation to continue the narrative.

This. When Bay and co. say it's the end, it's the end. Adding that credits scene was unnecessary and angered people for no good reason.

Last movie ended with them teasing Unicron and a sort of "ultimate final battle".
Even as someone who dislikes these films, I think this sort of justified as that's kind of a huge tease(not to mention I'm kinda curious what kind of explosive monstrosity they could make out of Unicron)

Actually, adding that credits scene has accomplished exactly what it was intended to do - it was Lorenzo's bait into making people want another bayverse film, regardless of the outcome of TLK.

All because of the promise that they might involve Unicron.

Honestly, the way I see it? Quintabitch says "don't wake Unicron" - bam, he doesn't wake up, PLOT THREAD OVER.

I hear tell it's Lorenzo's doing on that. If that's true, even more reason to keep him at arm's length.

Real transformer fans would be those people who are fans of every TF universe. The rest of us are fragmentation fans :)
