So is Hasbro abandoning UPCs altogether in favor of EANs or what?

Same for Smashdown, Rung and the Micromaster Battle Squad. Another chance for those who missed the original releases due to tail ender syndrome.

How do you look things up with an EAN? I'm used to UpC and DPCI and using those with brickseek can anyone help me figure out how that works? Thanks

If the EANs are entered into Walmart or Target's databases, the should work just like a UPC.

If the EAN is entered into brickseek, it does not find the item. If earthrise could be updated with Upc # that would be much appreciated.

There are no UPCs, it appears. With Earthrise (and apparently the Cyberverse Deluxes), Hasbro replaced UPCs with EANs worldwide.

Also, the EANs do work on Brickseek when searching Target. They're only not working when searching Walmart for whatever reason.

EDIT: Case in point - I just checked all the toys I have in the new worldwide "5L" packaging. For Siege Spinister and Crosshairs, as well as Studio Series Mixmaster and Scavenger, the EANs are on stickers that cover up the UPCs. By contrast, Earthrise Soundbarrier, Ironworks, Cliffjumper and Wheeljack have no stickers - the EANs are printed directly onto the packaging.

Yes? In... the first post of this thread? Y'know, where all the UPCs and EANs are collected?

Unfortunately I don't think Brickseek is reliable anymore. I kept coming up with all *out of stock* for earthrise codes, but then when i put in Siege Leader Shockwave (every target in my area has 4-8 of them), it also came up as out of stock.....nope definitely not reliable
