man so it's insulting to design robot with different characteristic and personal body type because muh robots cant be distinct, ok

Indeed, Transformers is getting much better at this. But the characters there are all very recent or Japan desperately trying to fix the lack of female characters.

CW Victorion, UW Megaempress, TR Nautica, Windblade and Arcee and POTP Elita-One are by far some of my favourite figures and characters like Clobber and Nickle are great steps in the right direction. We even now have an official Femmebot Dinobot toy! However, the original G1 will always be lacking in any fun variety of female characters. I think it’s from people rightly saying it is stupid that all G1 Femmebots look annoyingly similar is why we’re now getting great new designs and more variety in our Femmebots.

 

I like the detachable backpack idea. At a larger and more complex scale, you could compact Arcee's alt mode to fit her cartoon appearance, but at this scale that's not possible. I'm happy to remove the unwanted bits to give the impression of greater mass compaction if the end result looks good on the shelf.

The MP is a bit odd looking, I think the MMC Azalea does the best job of depicting the character with minimal kibble. The FT effort is okay, but the torso gap and those claw hands don't do it any favours. Looks good on the shelf, but MMC is the one I constantly pose and mess about with.

 

If only. A few chromosomes and a different background can make a lot of difference in what two different people can do with their body and mind.
And if you're talking human sensitivities, Arcee was designed the way she was because of human sensitivities. Political correctness may be a human sensitivity, but so is the opposite.

 

I squeed a bit. I love this choice since that means she won't have such a large backpack. There's a reason there are so many mods that do that very thing. Usually into a shield but hoverboard is cool, too!

Fembots being sexy isn’t the issue, being so sexy that they become unfun is.

Like look at Strongarm or the Victorion/Megatronia sets. Definitely female, but also far more transformer like than most other fembots.

edit, I’ve seen some people talking about Grapple and Inferno getting passes because they’re male and that’s some Tantrum scrap. They get passes because even tho one part becomes a backpack the rest of the vehicle becomes their body. Front of the vehicle is their chest, back seems to be the legs, and the arms make the upper section. Meanwhile Elita One and Chromia look like action masters and Arcee is lugging around an entire sports car on her back. Don’t sure how shelly Windblade is compared to other jet formers though.

Eh, I eat too much, as a result I’ve got a spare tire around my waist. I still have no desire to see a fat Transformer.

 

I’m specifically referring to the G1 cartoons nd comics and I guess Beast Wars too. It took US Transformers 15 years to have a female character in a TV Show/Comic that didn’t put “look like a human female” before pretty much anything else.

 

Then you were looking in the wrong place. Gobots was doing it in '84.

 

Now this is a female Transformer with alt mode integration to bot mode that I'd like to see more of.



Alt mode is part of the legs, forearms, and shoulders, and not all on the back, and the body is still recognizable as female. If this was Deluxe size (and less expensive), I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

 

I read through the product description a few times, all it says is that the figure has a backpack and it's removable. It doesn't say if it's parts-forming or not.

 

Strong Arm has such a great design. Can we please get a deluxe Strong Arm? I’ll give ya a kidney for it, Warden.
