Thanks for the toon ref pics.

Other than the heart for the I love NY, I couldn't put on the other stickers.

In a weird way as a collector, unless stickers are there for the long run, I'd would have to keep them on the sheet.

I have two copies so I might leave one sheet untouched, but they seem like they'll be good for several uses as they stuck back on the sheet with no problem.

I also think it’s because they can’t really replicate the effect they’re trying for. The autobots in the cartoon don’t have blue or blue tinted windows. They have clear windows that are reflecting the sky, so they appear blue.

To replicate that, you need a very light shade of blue. They can make the blue clear plastic lighter, but not brighter. So to get the right shade, it would be lost to whatever is behind the plastic. The other option would be to go the route of the dinobots and use clear or light blue clear plastic and paint the back either white or light blue. That may or may not look right, and would also be more expensive.

    Just my thoughts and guesses.

Yes your probably right with the heel part been blue tinted

I don’t think the coloured ones would have been weaker, but anything for cost cutting is Takara.

Great shot, buddy! Shows how on point his head sculpt is. I think it's one of the best in the G1 MP line.

thanks man completely agree on the head sculpt I love it!

Cool “City of Steel” homage! I’ve been meaning to do something similar but waiting for the episode to come around again in my viewing schedule (pretty soon now I just watched Megatron’s Master Plan)!

Thanks, buddy! Glad to hear you're like me and regularly rewatch G1! Megatron's Master Plan is some goofy fun for sure. I especially love pt2 as it has some truly primo animation. What's great about the show and the MPs as that they both fuel my love for each of them - the show makes me love the MPs more and the MPs make me love the show more. Hope we can look forward to some MMP homage shots from you!

yeah I watch one episode a day in order time permitting! Just like when it was still on TV :)  definitely helps to appreciate the figures more especially the modern MPs...I know a lot of folks these days are to “cool” for that “lazy cartoon” but not me! If anything I love it now more than ever.

I did do some MMP shots back when I first got mp44 and people on Instagram wanted to know what the Starscream head was all about...posted these along with a video clip of the corresponding scene...

Oh and since this is the Bumblebee thread here’s another of him :D

Couldn’t have said it better myself. This new direction the MP line has taken (QC issues not included) definitely reignited an old flame that had long been extinguished.

. . . huh. So the only way to get BB to hold his gun was for THE TRIGGER TO SNAP OFF ACCIDENTALLY.

And is it a wide-spread issue that the waist is loose, or did I just roll a 2 in the QC?

Btw, @Stryder Wolfe , I love that MMP homage! Seems wild that we even got a Starscream head and intakes just to reenact that brief scene but I'm happy to have it!

The gun is supposed to slot into his fingers first while the hand is open, then fold into the palm while closing the hand. Sorry that happened dude!

I finally unboxed mine, and he's perfect. I appreciate the detail, and the articulation. Mine is having a lot of difficult rotating at the hips, but that's OK, I don't need that range of motion for the poses in my display. The paint is great, and he is very different from MP-21. My alt mode is really gappy, and I still don't like the squashed panel feet, but you know, he is better.

Is he worth nearly double the price? Hmm. A lot of moving parts. Small moving parts. That said, they couldn't have made him work without them.

He's not that bad overall considering what they were trying to do. I think the backpack is fine, but the feet? Of all of the engineering feats that they have accomplished, they couldn't figure out one more little piece of magic? This is what happens when they try to incorporate gimmicks (Spike, opening doors). Would have been more room to hide the doors and done without them opening. It's cool, but to what sacrifice? On a positive note...I feel this is a prelude to us getting more minibots.

So if the doors didn't open and Spike couldn't (barely) fit inside, where would the doors have been able to go during transformation?
