Yes, it slides freely now. You can't adjusts tightness with the screws themselves (you would have to shorten the posts to do so). The tightness was caused by those posts being too big in diameter, at last in my case.

I got my reissue a week ago but I wanted to transform it a few times and absorb it before giving my thoughts.
Before I continue I've got to give tribute to ShowZ. They rushed this through to ship before Chinese New Year closed everything down. As a result it arrived just before my birthday (present to self). Awesome.

Anyway, when I first opened the box I was underwhelmed. I thought bot mode looked too dark and a bit plain (I prefer the original colour scheme with the lighter grey tbh). I hated the transformation the first time (typical reaction for me when I get a new FT figure) and almost put it on ebay straight away.
Then, after getting bored of truck mode I put it back to bot mode - then played around with posing it. And holy fuck! Once you give this guy his gun and sword and a suitably heroic pose this thing it comes alive! It has serious shelf presence!
After a week of admiring bot mode I changed it back again to truck - realising in the process that I had messed up the transformation last time by not engaging the chrome flaps that secure the panels closest to the cab in place. This second time I actually enjoyed the transformation (typical reaction for me when I get a new FT figure) - I even enjoyed all the panels which snap together in a secure and satisfying fashion.
I still prefer the lighter grey trailer of DX9 but I now love this guy - both modes. I would even dare say it's literally my favourite figure in my collection. The translucent purple is also much more vibrant than it appears in popular youtube reviews btw.

If you are deliberating whether to get this figure I can highly recommend it. Like I said, it wasn't love at first sight, but there is no denying this thing has the desired affect for me. Toyhax stickers for the trailer and it will be perfection. Well done FT.

    .... before the Coronavirus.

People really need to adjust expectations. Warpath should have shipped by now, but if we are lucky we'll see that in April. Then there's Brawn.

This is why I've held back on pre-oderering Magnum and Iceman. I expect a significant delay and so don't want to fully prepay.

Yeah? Where would you go to scavenge parts? I’m very into this idea suddenly but not sure where to start.

I want to watch a reality show called Stunt Garage now! Instead of building custom cars the stunticons steal your car and tear it apart! At the end of the show, Megatron calls and they tell him to "blow it out his exhaust! We're having a demolition derby!"

G-scale railway stuff (brick wall effect, mechanic studio, roadside paraphernalia), then secondhand Scalectrix and model cars to disassemble! I just got three straight tracks and 1,5 metres of old guardrails for $10 for example! Crappy jewellery for chains. Happy hunting!:)

yes. It could be a part of a larger show ecosystem where we learn what decepticons do when they’re not fighting Autobots - their 9-5s if you will. We can call it “Con Jobs” and everyone would tune in weekly for various segments, including “Stunt Garage”, and “Keeping Up With The Constructicons”

This inspires me to fully explore his articulation. So far I know he's articulated well, but there's this small backward wobble to him probably because of the way his feet are designed, making me simply preferring to keep him in vanilla poses

With minimum effort you’ll be able to place his feet in such a way that he doesn’t wobble at all.

Thanks for sharing this! I just did the mod, but I decided to only shave the outside of those pegs instead of the inside, because I figured the tightness on the inside would help hold the two sides together.

As far as I can tell so far, it worked! The bending is gone. And once I screwed it all back together, the cab sliding back and forth on those rails is just as tight as before. Thumbs up!
