I still can't believe that Hasbro didn't design his hands to flip in and have a smaller (and better looking) attachment like they did with Grapple.

His articulation is still pretty good and standard for WFC figures in general. It’s just that Siege Starscream set a rather high bar.

I just picked up my order from Entertainment Earth with all the wave 1s. I'm pretty impressed with how they look (though I'm still not a fan if the gap in Starscream's sides.

Now to crack open Prime and play trucking company!

It’s cool that some of the late-wave Siege stuff is getting rereleased in ER. Has that ever happened before, straight rereleases of figures (aside from G1 or MP)?

My preorder for these four arrived yesterday and before picking them up I was definitely feeling ho hum about ER Starscream. The pictures I had seen had brought me from absolutely needing the figure to considering returning him on the spot. He just looked too stout and boxy and his head sculpt drab and unexpressive. Now, having the figure in hand, I am closer to that wowed state you're referring to. Not all the way there, but pretty dang happy. All the criticism in comparison to the Siege mold's articulation is warranted. To my eye, it feels like the slightly smaller ER mold with its height and wing span should have enough plastic / parts left over for waist rotation. But all that aside, I still look at the figure, and this is robot mode alone (haven't had a chance to transform him)...this is my Starscream. All the photos of him didn't prepare me for how vibrant he would be, in particular the shade of red. My phone camera just can't capture it just like the head sculpt. While I agree it'll be a challenge getting his face to pop in photos, I prefer ER to the Siege mold. Next to Siege Skywarp who received a smirking face transplant from Thundercracker, I hate to say it...I find the Siege smirk kind of doofy (But then that's kind of perfect for Skywarp). Also it might be minor to most but I personally love that the wings turn so that we have that proper red and white line on the wings facing forward on the ER robot mode. Now the challenge becomes, can these two molds co-exist for me? At this time I think so. I still love the Siege mold, in particular for Thundercracker. I will be buying the coneheads and would prefer some variety amongst my seekers. I too got a good deal on the Phantom Strike pack and like the idea of Thundercracker not being the odd one out. But if ER Skywarp happens in proper black I will be very tempted and if that domino falls I might be looking at all six...sigh.

My concern is if ER Seeker variants become store exclusives. We all know how big of a clustertruck that was in Siege.

You mean that it really wasn’t? Seriously all of them were available for plenty of time if you paid attention and even now some are still available

Generations Skrapnel was also released in PotP. There’s another Legend escaping my memory too.

    those aren't straight re-releases though.
they are slight repaints and no longer have their minicon partner.

Aside from Smashdown there aren't any rereleases so much as figures being pulled forward for Siege and then appearing as planned in ER. The only one that did that anyways is Astrotrain, right?

I thought I read somewhere that rumblebat cassettes was getting rereleased in earthrise. AFAIK it’s never hit retail and even on amazon that lasted microseconds.

edit: when I say retail I’m talking local B&M and US online stores.
