They all look great! This is gonna be a fun wave. Studio series has hit an all-time high lately.

What on earth are you talking about? It’s not like they put the rotf head on an 07 body like megatron or something. The box art for all three looks fine.

 

One of the few times every figure in a wave looks actually amazing.

Agreed. The box art looks bad ass! I swear these kids at this point complain just to complain lol.

 

I imagine the upcoming toy fair is gonna be more Earthrise-focused but I'd really like to get a glimpse of Studio Series Blitzwing, hoping they do that design justice.

I hope not. It really seemed like Studio Series took a back seat last year. I hope they don’t just blow their load by releasing images of the figures a week early.

 

Take Jeep Bee, paint the hood purple, give him a new head, slap a 'Con symbol on him and he'd make a pretty neat Swindle. Easy custom.

And now I'm tempted to do that...

 

That’s a shame that they lost the Amp sponsorship for Roadbuster. Looks great otherwise.

 

My issue with the Bumblejeep is the lack of door wings he had in the film.

 

I\'ve got no real interest in any of them but.... I would like to see a Swindle head on that BB toy.

 

which is super ironic because the beetle version of the ss toy HAS wings but the final movie design didn't.....

People who are arguing about the box art or backdrops are welcome to go dumpster diving in my recycling bin. They will be waiting for you with some empty beer cans. With that being said this looks like a great wave. I look foward to getting all of them. But I dont understand why people keep asking for a "Hound" redeco of Jeep Bumblebee when Hound looks nothing like that mold:
Yall think this is 2007 where they repaint movie movie Jazz in Smokescreen colors ? I thought studio series marked the end of those horrible G1 Bayverse repaints ? (Yes I know Thundercracker from Nitro Zeus exists, but only for the sake of TRU having an exclusive to commemorate its demise)

 

I think they may be thinking of a Selects type repaint? I can see the appeal, given the alt mode and near identically laid out robot mode

 

But selects doesnt do movie molds. There's a perfectly good Siege Hound. The sad part is instead of giving us a selects repaint as e-hobby Detritus, we get f**king Hotshot.

 

Hasn't done movie molds yet. We don't know if they could or couldn't. Also I like Hot Shot, that blue looks sharp.

 

Its not that Hot Shot is isnt a decent figure. Its just that its not an armored tank with massive firepower. Its a blue hound body with a new head. At least Detritus would have been more of a legit use of the mold in terms of fitting the character that works best.
