I finally got my copy and my first full MP combiner set! I won't argue that the boys are on par with FT, but I still feel like I got a lot of Aerialbot minijetpack goodness for my money. The sparkly plastic is great looking if a little thin and the QC on mine has been pretty much spot on thus far. I like these chaps (using toyhead on Fireflight).

 

Nice pics, they do look great I would imagine looks better in hand. For the price its well worth it IMO, Im so jelly though lol still waiting on mines but it will be awhile due to the shipping in china hold/delay. But anyway great looking set..this set combined with FT will have such a strong display presences.

No sorry, it didn't, I had a copy of the first version already! The white doesn't perfectly match but it's close! No extra heads or face options unfortunately.

I realise I'm late to the party but I was genuinely flawed by combined mode. Really imposing, robust and stable. Note: applied a few Toyhax stickers.

I can't help but envy the new owners who got th3 box set metallic finish version. Looks really nice and better in almost every way (some will like the more pure white finish of the original I'll assume)... Wish I'd have known it was coming and waited. Still I can't say the original looks bad by comparison...but the new one at least to me is solidly better. Congrats to the superitron buyers and to zeta for putting out a great set. Yeah FTs bot modes will be more toon accurate and unique but zetas bots have a bit of charm and so far the alt modes are a wash with zetas f16 looking better to me and it's Concorde bettering zetas overall despite the inacurracies. It's a great time to be in the market for MP style Aerialbots

Why not try selling the original one and get the boxed set?

 

short answer is that i'm not sure the differences will be worth the hassle of boxing up and shipping all those boxes...remember the silverbolt box is HUGE. i'd probably net $180-200 loss trying to sell and replace it.

 

I won the complete original set for $25 in a facebook transformers raffle group, but I'm debating replacing it with this new metallic one. I'm waiting on a youtube comparison video to help me decide.

I was surprised that he didn't do Combined mode comparisons as well in this one.

 

I'm more surprised by the fact he says, despite what people have said here, that the new silverbolt still has diecast in him and is HEAVIER!? 

 

Dont feel bad. I own both sets and I would SWEAR that the newer one feels lighter in hand! I was honestly like WTH man, is ya scale broke or somethin?!

 

Yeah I thought the same thing, Im still waiting on mines but from the video the metallic version has the diecast? But some say it was removed?

And its not like sun of the empire has a different retail version, so I dunno lol
