In all seriousness, fights choreographed to look more like realistic fights always will be less visually attractive than purely scenic fights. What's sensible and what's pretty is not always the same. The Throne Room duel is a beautiful scene, but the Mustafar duel is my favorite one.

Yeah, that was always my main issue with that fight -- it just goes on for way too long.

I also think it misses something, by not being a blue vs. red saber fight. Not that I would expect the newly "born" Vader to take the time to alter his saber to something fitting a Sith Lord, but it would have made for a better looking fight, if he had.

"Needs a bit of trimming" could be the Prequels alternate titles. :X

Actually, I misread your post and thought you meant the last battle in RoS. Apologies, that's totally my bad. While I'd argue that TFA absolutely was not leading to TLJ (or anywhere, really) I also wouldn't call its ending an ass-pull.

FWIW, I consider the fight inside the arena to be the actual last battle of AotC. Massive battles in Star Wars are mostly backdrops. Whether we're looking at Ackbar's fleet in RotJ, the Gungans in TPM, etc., the real action is usually somewhere else and the larger battle is there to give it a larger sense of scale. The masses of clone troops are no different. They just come in a little late as a "here comes the cavalry" moment.

Does anyone else find it amusing and fitting that the final season of Clone Wars is airing on Revenge of the Sith's 15th anniversary year since the season's time frame takes place during Order 66 later on?

Regarding the Legends comic collections, which ones are better? The Omnibus’ or the Epic Collections?

I dunno about the Epic Collections, but the Omnibuses were usually good.

I can't believe this hasn't seemed to be brought up here but has anyone read Trevorrow's Duel of the Fates draft that's floating around?

It's... Interesting. In some ways better than what we got and in some ways worse, but it's more in line with 7 and 8 as far as being pointless-but-coherent as opposed to TRoS's... Hideous Frankenstein mish mash slouching around under the guise of a film

There has been extensive discussion about it here up until about a week or so ago.

Yes I know - that's what I'm talking about. Check further back in this thread and the TROS one - people talked at length about the script leak. I know we did because my two cents on it was that I thought it sounded just as bad, but just in a different way. Some people thought it sounded better. Some people posted videos about it. It's all here... somewhere.
