Like combiner teams or the combaticon scouts and warriors and same for the protectobots? Because all I can find on google for that is the scout and warrior robots.

 

I kinda feel like Toyfair is gonna be more For Earthrise than Anything else.

I do hope Ss gets some new announcements i really want to see. Sentinel, Blitzwing, and Rotf Soundwave if theres more than that it will be truly exciting

 

If anything, I only hope for Sentinel, Blitzwing, ROTF Soundwave and maybe 2 or 3 mystery Deluxes. Maybe another Leader, but likely not.

 

I think so too, last year wasn't it the same? Siege for the spotlight and we got SS reveals from other conventions.

That said hasbro said Devastator will be first shown in the US this toy fair so let's see.

 

I actually expected Overload to be a darker shade of red than Scavenger, just like in the movie and the initial reveal of SS Devy. I may be in the minority, but I actually think Overload to be the odd ball in terms of color

 

Yes Toyfair last year was all about siege With Omega and Jetfire being the center of it.

That said SS did have a handful of reveals before the event.

Finally found the sisters as well, I'm blown away by the articulation and sculpt they've managed to work into these three; can happily retire the old ROTF legends from the shelf.



Also love seeing how well they scale with the old HA figures, their handle bars even clip in perfectly!

And one final shot of them all partnered up!


Just need to wait for the weekend to come around so I can paint them all up  

 

This goes to all people who think about buying Constructicons for the individuals sake and not to build Devastator:

It makes sense to do that, with only 2 exceptions. My criteria is whether the toy is a good stand-alone representation or too compromised for combined mode.

The exceptions are:

- Overload
- Rampage / Skipjack

They have been compromised for combined mode and thus are less reasonable as stand-alone constructicons I'm afraid.

Rampage for example, if he wasn't a leg, would have proper elbows and more articulation in his lower body.

Overload is mostly compromised in vehicle mode. His back end would look a lot better (one of the back halves is shorter than the other, destroying the look completely) as would the middle section (you can clearly make out devastators butt and hip joints)

So, there you have it. Every other constructicon is hardly or not at all (the arms for example) compromised for combined mode. Longhaul is also a good example of simply being Longhaul. His leg mode is just a sorry attempt


That's why my non-combined mode Constructicon rating is as follows:

1. Scavenger
Simply because whoever designed this thing is a freaking genius. He's so incredibly well engineered and robustly executed

2. Mixmaster
Simplistic design but it works very well for both modes except for the hands sticking out

3. Scrapmetal
Interesting transformation. Not too complicated. Overall just a satisfying Transformer. Reminds me of Transformers Cybertron engineering

(4. Scrapper)
Because he cannot be displayed in vehicle mode. I also predict his vehicle mode to be flimsy as hell. He was designed all around his robot mode Which is thus very strong

5. Hightower
You either like him or you don't. He is what he is. I don't love him because he's too simple. But I also don't hate him because he has so much character

(6. Overload)
Because he cannot be displayed in vehicle mode whatsoever. Robot mode is pretty good but not super awesome

7. Longhaul
Man, he's a piece of shit. Well designed but so so poorly executed. Aweful quality. Feels like a knock-off. Also it's annoying that he's slightly too big for Devastator. I don't understand what they were thinking. Rampage and Longhaul were both done early on. So there's no reason why Hasbro couldn't tweak his quality a bit.
Bad stuff aside, he looks awesome, his articulation is ok and he is not compromised for combined mode unlike

8. Rampage
Let's be honest. This guy is a leg. Because of that he's on the bottom even though Longhaul is worse. He's just too compromised for me. Very solid and good looking 3 modes but posing him is just weird

 

Finally after about 3 months got this BASTARD transformererereized.

Damn it was painful, I gave up and could not get the second limb at all (after weeks of trying) . Then watched a video and STILL could not get. I love how it looks in both modes but %#^$ me dead with a doorknob I HATE the Transformation so much.
