As for Insecticons, thats a weird one because Forager was just a very good figure. He breaks easily and Dialanji confirmed a long time back the forager mould itself was either lost or damaged. So a Forager V2 is more likely.

 

I have to admit that I'd prefer the original deco over a smoother 'cartoon accurate' one

I'm well aware of gallow's humor and black comedy...at times, it's my stock and trade. And I like to think nothing should be off-limits per comedy. But, this seems....too soon, unnecessary. But, apparently I'm wrong, looking at the number of likes for your (slightly condescending) explanation of a form of comedy.

Back to Perceptor 2.0....Could FansToys just try to get things right the first time? Or, could they choose an aesthetic or visual style and stick with it?

I've already changed my buying habits and standards due to the constant improvements, but this is getting quite tiresome.

How many months after Spindrift 1.0 did FT leak pics or announcement of 2.0?

 

Diabetes, cancer, aids, etc have killed millions and there are all sorts of jokes about it. That being said, I don’t see this as “a joke”. China is seeing very dark times right now, and the thing that can keep someone from being tossed in the mass incineration pile is a mask, I’d say that could light their darkest hours. Dark humor? Yes. “Too soon”? Maybe for safespace-dependents who miss their comfort animals, but I say bravo to Fanstoys for doing a 3p transformers PSA.

As for Perceptor 2.0... I’m glad Fanstoys is redoing Perceptor. He wasn’t a big seller and many people missed out on him, especially since so many breakages occurred. His aesthetic also was closer to Quakewave and MP10 rather than the more toonlike versions of modern figures. Most FT product fits both aesthetics, but Tesla was way over detailed. For me, as a Toon collector, I’m fine with updates of earlier figures. Would love a Quakewave update. Bulkier and bigger than mp29 but curves rather than hard angles of FT03.

I'm extremely ecstatic that I have a chance to get a FT Tesla now and forget $260-400+ scalping prices, and to the people who purposely by the figures to scalp and Rob fans of an opportunity to get a figure that they want at a low price, you are ruining the fandom and making it harder for people to get into third party figures/companys. You reap what you sow.

right now I'm really hoping that this is the release of Tesla that Fanstoys gives us the Magnificus repaint as I would love to get that as an MP, would be easy too since he doesn't have a complicated color palette.
I really hope with v2 Tesla that they include parts like v1 for cartoon and toy colors and maybe some other things as well like microscope slide samples or something.
