    I own yellow version (from right to left: WJ, CW Cyclonus, YX):
    [IMG]
    from right to left: WJ, "skittles" CW Superion, YX:
    [IMG]

    WJ seems to be better - tighter joints, weapons for individual bots (the same moulds as DX9). They fixed looseness on shoulder rotation joints on combined mode. Only issue is chest plate which carries the same flaw that is present on DX9. Die cast parts are: robot mode chest on Hook, part with headlights and grill on Long Haul, mixing drum on Mixmaster, shovels on Bonecrusher and Scavenger.
    YX - Mixmaster looks better (paint and shape of mixing drum). They fixed chest plate (but still doesn't tab into Hook's knees). Figure is floppy mess, shoulder connectors keep sliding out of tab holes. Hip forward movement is hampered by crotch plate molded as one piece. Combined mode gun splits into guns for individual robots, cool idea but execution... All grey parts are die cast (except Mixmaster's cab), in addition - parts of lower legs on Hook, mixing drum on Mixmaster, Scavenger's shovel is awkwardly oversized. Individual bots are not good either - Hook's hips are extremely floppy. One shoulder transformation joint on Scavenger doesn't lock in robot mode and keeps drooping.

    I hope that's helpful :) . None of these are proper Hastak legends size, slightly taller, around 10-10,5cm.

    @vvvTheONEvvv
    Drats, I forgot.
    Probably yours is WJ, does it have ankle (technically - toe) tilt on Scrapper (WJ's doesn't)?
    According to what I know, YX is the one that comes with that gun which splits into six smaller guns. It has two colour variants (G1 and G2). WJ comes only in G1 colours. I've seen 1:1 copy of DX9 (down to the colours), but I don't know anything about it beyond that. I've seen another one which (I have discovered it after doing some research) seems to be in Diaclone colours and is weirdly expensive (almost 2x the price of WJ), but I don't know much about it either.

    EDIT
    YX's is simplified on Mixmaster - cab doesn't tab anywhere in vehicle mode.

    Thank you, that's very helpful! The WJ version is probably a bit big for NA Legends scale, but I think I'll go with him if the YX version has so many issues. It's probably fine for a combiner to tower over everyone else anyway :p  Do you find the WJ version pretty fun to play with?

    I actually made this piece a bit too long cuz I wanted Megs to be taller than Shockwave and Prime, I concur the piece could be shortened a little bit though, but it would change his height drastically.

    Yup, this is custom work, but it was developed for the KO BPF oversized version.

    This is a G1 Megatron original fusion cannon I adapted to the figure.

    I kind of figured, since he had posted it. :wink:

    gasp! They actually have corners... and only six sides!

    By the time I get them, they usually look like... soft trapezoids.

    If one were hunting for KO MPM 3 and 4 (optimus and bumblebee), are there any currently available normal size ones? Legendary Toys seems to have dried up, and all I can seem to find is oversize.

    New question about old toys:

    Anyone have any comparisons (or links to videos) comaparing the legends scaled:
    MS Magnus
    MFT Magnus (ko of later taller magnus, not the old IF KO)
    PT Magnus

    All three are legends size (or os legends) and any comparisons or comments on quality etc appreciated thank you.

    *Also while I'm not here........what's the status of KO threads now.....is it still one useless confusing Melange or are there individual threads again for things?

    Difficult question to be honest. I usually just pose him and put on display, so all "play" is down to range of articulation (though I'm not good at posing my figures :D  ). Thanks to tight joints, he's quite poseable, though he lacks thigh swivel on Scrapper side - he has only one just above he knee on Mixmaster. There are double elbow joints and a swivel just above the elbow. The shoulders are swivel/hinge combination for all typical articulation. The head is on ball joint. He lacks any articulation on the waist. the hands are pegged into forearm (wrist rotation), thumb is on ball joint at the base, the rest is on single hinge (with index finger articulated independently). So there's pretty decent articulation on hands while the legs and the torso are a bit basic.
    I hope this answers your question :)  .

    There is a pretty easy ankle tilt fix for WJ Scrapper in the dedicated thread. Was as simple as removing 2 screws and a small piece of plastic had to be cut off. All done in places that aren't visible typically. Really added to my enjoyment of the WJ Hercules.

    Thanks for the info! That is definitely helpful. By playability, I was referring to durability, articulation and overall cohesiveness... like does he stand the test of time when kids (and dads with a heart of a kid) tinker and transform him? I understand that the very concept of KO is YMMV but it does sound like the WJ version is better overall in these regards than YX. I'll update with my thoughts when I receive him, though with the delay in factories that may be in several months!

    @bakerjin
    Hmm, durability, I think it's fine. The best part is that Hook's chest is die cast, so there's no risk of damaging him when you plug tabs that are on Long Haul's hands into hole on Hook's chest. I didn't notice any degradation on joints so far, plastic seems to be pretty durable (for reference, I own that KBB KO of PE PC-17 and plastic on grey parts, especially hip ball joints and these parts which connect upper arms and the torso, seems to be too flexible, kind of "now I flex, now I snap", so I'm always worried when I pose his hips). The paint on die cast parts doesn't flake so far (cough, Black Mamba/Aoyi, cough). Everything holds together well in all modes (except the chest plate, but this issue is present on DX9 and partially on YX), though I noticed Scrapper's back of vehicle mode tends to split in combined mode (I'm sure he didn't do that when I got this set ~1,5 year ago).

    I don't know how it will survive kids playing with him. Only "test subjects" in my family are my nephews, older one (5 years old) doesn't like "transforming robots" while younger one (3 years old) is more interested in cars :) . There are quite a few small parts which "can be generated", I remember my Mixmaster arrived with one of his wheels rattling around package, but nothing was damaged and wheel snapped back into it's place with no problems. I think die cast parts might pose some "threat" due nature of such material (hard'n'heavy :)  ).

    Btw, the recent KO MP BW Megatron has a Chinese and English voice chip, plus they're doesn't (as yet) seem to be any issues with the (crotch/waist) area breaking (which the original had some reports as having). You can finally hear David Kaye speaking, yesssss!
