The difference imo is that these are $20-50 "Studio Figures" vs a $2-4 Micro Figure. But I also see and understand where you stand on that.

Some people don't want to have to paint their own figures, no matter how "easy" it may be to other people.

 

Can somebody tell me... what figures that Optimus + Jetfire, small Megatron, and The Fallen are on that pyramid scene? I don't recognize any of those, and nobody seems to be mentioning them. The Optimus looks like the MP to me but also like the original, but better proportions than the original.. Also I don't remember the SS combination looking that good as far as design. I know they're all custom painted but wtf are the figures.

 

Fair enough. I apologize for that. I just don't understand why people would be against paying more for upping the "quality" (imo) of official figures from the factory when KO's have been the "bees knees" of collecting for much more absurd prices (imo), even if they are superior in certain aspects. People will clearly justify those prices, just like MP's as you stated.

Okay, directly to your point. Not everyone can add paint apps "no matter their skill level", seeing as though your argument is said paint apps will cost extra money by the manufacturer, hence being an extra, worth money.

Not everyone wants to paint their own figures.

Wash application (to not get too dark on the flat areas while bringing out the line work) take skill/practice as well as money spent on said items. Acrylic/Water or Enamel/thinner ratio and application takes skill/experience as well as money spent.

This is why you have a professional hand painting them or a machine in an assembly line with premeasured ratios and specific equipment to apply it for feasibility.

But I get your reasoning, too, if you have the skills, confidence, supplies, and desire to do it.

Those are MUCH better! Thank you! I was hoping Arcee's chest was mistransformed. Maybe it wasn't pushed up enough? But, your photos confirm that is not the case.

 

I'm very happy to hear Armada Prime hasn't been outright canned. Whatever line they end up putting him in i'll be getting him without a doubt, especially if they actually figure out a way to give him an articulated super mode.

MP Arcee looks magnificent. I'm not a big MP collector but I may bite after seeing some reviews

 

Whose pictures are you referring to? Arcee's chest still looks pushed down and bizarre in all the pictures I see.

 

Gamerlingual's photos. I was hoping the figure on display had a mistransformed chest. Gamer's great photos show all angle's and that the figure is not mistransformed. TT just went with a derpy designed chest area.

 

I like seeing new MP figures, especially the thing they use that one time in one episode. I wonder that Tigatron's and Arcee's will be?

 

Oh, yes, I agree. I misunderstood your post and thought you saw pictures that had fixed it.

Unless this changes a bit in the final release, I'll probably stick with my Rouges and Azalea.

 

If they're going to make him MP then the trailer should be a huge selling point since the base was used in the anime and has replay value if future MP figures come with Microns. That's the only way to justify a MP price. If not then keep it simple and put him in the main line.

Perhaps in a society where they have yearly live-action shows where heroes of justice routinely defeat the bad guys, they've been socialized into having an affinity towards heroes rather than the villains. Everywhere you look people only seem to like a villain if the look "cool".
