knee bend cancelled?

 

i am very proud to have been the one to start this.

honestly though i didn't point it out to complain about it (i don't actually give a shit either way) i just noticed it and wanted to point it out as a possibility given what we've seen. It Is a big omission in a modern TF toy after all, and some people will find that to be a deal breaker.

that and speculation is fun.

 

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. With his ankles having front/back and side/side freedom as well as his hips, and a thigh swivel, I think you'll be able to get plenty of articulation out of the legs. Putting a knee in there, especially with what else Overload has to do, might be 'Icarus flew too close to the sun' territory with regard to weight. The four contiguous pieces out right now already weigh as much as my cat and are pushing the limits of the plastic in some places.

 

agree entirely. Even if he doesn't have a knee, i'm actually worried about the strength of that same joint in the long run if it ends up being the only thing holding up all that weight. though i think overloads arms are gonna fold up and tab together a hell of a whole lot to help in that regard.

im more afraid for the strength of that joint if it DOES turn out to be a knee, because then overloads arms aren't gonna do shit to help strengthen it.

 

Agreed. I also hope Overload's legs/crotch tab into Mixmaster or Scavenger somewhere other than the obvious rail slot on Scavenger's wheel. Otherwise the entire weight of Devy's upper body is supported by that comparatively tiny stem that holds Scavenger's top wheel on.

 

oh i guarantee he will. overload's legs are gonna have to attach to something after all.

 

Can't imagine it being any worse than the stupid spaghetti knees on the ROTF Supreme figure. I bet anyone who owns that one knows what I mean!

 

My concern is the MCM/Dutch Comic Con display piece. Both of Overload's legs were apparently tabbed in in London, but came untabbed by the time he reached the Netherlands. Granted a LOT of stuff came untabbed between the two shows, but still.

 

I wouldn't count that against it. it was being shipped around and handled roughly by people who didn't even know how it worked. not to mention it was a prototype overload, tolerances might not quite have been perfected yet.

now compare this to what a real Devastator's life would be like in the hands of a collector.

And Skipjack is the RED bulldozer!!! Y\'know; THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY SPOKE AND WAS MURDERED BY BUMBLEBEE!!! We got the name from the credits of ROTF after all.
Rampage is the yellow one who became the leg of Devastator. Let\'s just hope he\'s released individually and not exclusive to a set.

The figure doesnt look horrible but idk im disappointed that they left out the essential of devy which was the red and white shoulder panels, plastic tubes and small guns on the arms /: im sure a 3rd party company will make a kit for that but still it sucks that hasbro advertised it like it was going to have those pieces and such.
