So, in just over a year the Tarn has increased in price on secondary markets by 100% going from $400 to $800. Would anyone agree with me that this seems unusually high for only being released a year ago? Usually figures go up 20% to 40% the first year after release and then after a couple you will see 100% but man did this figure increase fast.
that's if your only looking at the over priced buy it now prices on ebay but if you look at the sold prices one sold for just over $500 only 3 days ago these are all sold listings , still high priced only one of them here sold for nearly $800 but obviously someone who did not do their homework first flame toys tarn | eBay
Good point. It's just unfortunately hard to find one as of this moment on eBay/Amazon or Google search that is in the $450-$500 range. I actually have yet to see one that was under $799 at this time.
Yeah I am aware of that, but I won't support KOs, so I'll probably save the money or wait for a market crash.
Yeah 3P KOs are a bit too scummy for me. When it’s done to Hasbro or Takara it’s fine cause they can take a loss but 3P’s are small.
Well, if both the original and the KO are in stores, it’s an investment in future cool toys to get the real one. Esp if the company isn’t doing so well like Maketoys. But Tarn is sold out with seemingly no reissue plans, and paying Ebay scalpers for him won’t support Flame Toys.
So I talked to Flame Toys through Email and they said they are considering re-releasing/re-issuing their Tarn!
