Actually Headmaster version should be part of the extras....

Maybe it pops off at the neck for a quick headmaster install?

That would be crazy if they split it into 2 releases.

 

I think she should come with Headmaster Daniel as well as a non Headmaster head. The regular head and Headmaster head would be interchangeable, like MP44, so everyone would have what they want.

Much like MP45 killed the third party minibots, Arcee is about to kill the 3P S3 guys. No way they'll scale her to FT Rouge or Hoodlum, she'll be MP Hot Rod size.

 

Hmmmm, I was kinda done with the movie bots. I am not sure if I wanna get Arcee or not. Knowing TT I'm sure I will have plenty of time to think about it.

 

I’ve seen a lot of people on Facebook groups stating that MP Arcee is ‘mistransformed’ in the photos we’ve seen ...the chest is an odd shade and very low. I feel like every time there’s a problem, people suddenly jump to ‘it’s not transformed correctly’ when it really is. Look at Bee 2.0’s back and feet for example.

The promo photograph that TT have by the figure has Arcee transformed the exact same way, and there’s the same problem on the chest, so it seems obvious that’s the way it is unfortunately. And the giant backpack is much bigger than 3P offerings. Gotta say, I’m so gutted about these reveals ...was really hoping for something better or something else. Glad some people are happy though I guess.

 

I think the accessories for Arcee could be:

A gun
Daniel
Future Carly
Future Spike
A folder
One or two additional faces

Special features:

Red glasses stored into the head

 

I'll probally still pick up Arcee since I'm an 84-86 collector. Still I'm disappointed it isn't the next Diaclone car or minibot. Hopefully we get another new G1 mold this year.

 

I haven't fully decided if I'm getting her yet... she kind of falls outside my collecting parameters, but still... I may break down, if only for that car mode.

A folder? Could it be like the Miami Vice folder I had in junior high? 'Cause that was wicked.

Well...... Bee 2.0 was mistransformed and posed badly at his first show appearance so there is precedent. Arcee may be transformed correctly but we aren’t sure yet. If the same marketing people set up the show display and made the poster there’s a slim chance she may be mistransformed.

I did want an MP Arcee at some point but I do wish they would focus on the season one cast. It’s nice to see another character that isn’t based on a Diaclone because it opens up more possibilities but I really wish we would get something like a triple changer to mix things up.

I thought for sure we would get a new Starscream this year. I think there might be a larger figure released at the end of the year but it’s hard to say who. I’m just really hoping for a Decepticon. Any Decepticon at this point.

 

It's still February thus, still early. If we don't see any more new MP's by Summer Wonderfest than I'd think Takara met their internal quota of MP's for this year.

We still got 10 months to go though, I doubt Arcee and Tigatron are the only new MP's we'll see this year.

 

Maybe MP Mirage was at Wonderfest, and we just didn't see him........  

 

Maybe 1 more G1 (Rodimus or Galvatron). I'm more anxious to see of the P.O. discount remains unchanged. I don't think it was a great idea last year to cram 4 new molds in 5 months and I don't know if the would try to get 5 in again.

Remember 2016, when there was a release almost every month?

How about 3 new G1 characters, 2 BW characters, and 2 MPMs? You can then pepper the rest of the year with repaints and reissues.  

 

I think Arcee is mistransformed because it looks like there is a hinge below her neck that slides up to me. We'll see later.

I think the best chance at a car or minibot is probably someone like Cliffjumper that would be a retool of an existing recent mold. Although that would be an extensive retool to make the alt mode correct. I think we could get a V2 of someone like Sideswipe maybe and I still think a V3 of Starscream is probably still on the table for now. We may also very well get some repaints like a red Sunstreaker or Black Ironhide as mall exclusives or something like that.

I found the interview from the front page interesting:

Takara Tomy booth director mentioned that fans have overly demanded for the cartoon aesthetic. So in order to pull off the cartoon aesthetic while maintaining the proper alt mode, the number of parts for each figure has gone up compared to the Masterpiece Datsuns or Wheeljack. The cost of materials has also gone up which also contributes to the rise in pricing. On this matter, Gamelingual let him know that many fans feel that they will be forced to quit the hobby if the prices become too expensive. The response was that this this is something they have discussed with the executives and it contributes to the decisions of what figures will be made next.

That to me sounds like we're in for a slim year for the most part. But that 2021 we could see a lot more new releases.

 

Exactly. Both are slated for a fall release, so possibly September and October. That still leaves November and December for a potential new mold. Otherwise I would expect to see a new mold in January 2021 at the latest.

There's still at least 3 big toy shows in Japan as well between now and August. I'm sure we'll get some more good stuff!

 

Nvm, you were talking about G1 arcee

 

I predict that due to the overwhelmingly positive response perhaps Armada Prime might be getting upgraded with the MP treatment & that's what @TTemploy was alluding to being MP50.
Looking back at the fan poll he was on there with Leo, Primal, Star Saber etc.

I can see him potentially sliding in superseding a G1 slot this year.

I have a strong feeling Galvatron will be Decembers release at MP 54 with Mirage at 55 for January.

 

MP54 in December? That's quite optimistic. MP50 and 51 are slated for a fall release so September & October at the earliest. That would leave November for a MP52 and 53 double whammy.

I'm with you in thinking we might see a big (size wise) MP mold before year's end though. All the figures announced for this year so far (Lio Convoy, Tigatron, Arcee) are relative small and "cheap".

Fingers crossed for Galvatron, Rodimus or Starscream!

As for Armada Prime, I really hope they'll stick with the Generations scale for him. I like the design but don't really feel like paying north of $300 for it.

Perhaps I am being optimistic regarding the pace.

I figure 52 will be something repainted like Detritus, Glyph or Goldbug (slight remolds all around)
53 no idea.. but I imagine the next BW will be Rattrap or Waspinator.

Being only in it for G1 I'd also rather they keep AP in Generations. The cryptic clues TTemploy left us with have me wondering, however.

I agree.. I also think one of the big guys this year will be Galvatron, Rodimus or Starscream. I see a few movie guys touching down between now and Unicrons release.
