I'm on the fence with this Arcee but realistically, its the QC I'm more worried about. Hound was a bulkier build and vehicle and we know how well that turned out...

Adding to the Armada Prime discussion:

Star Convoy got its colored pics out of nowhere on some day that didn't have any sort of event going on. What if we get an update on Armada Prime in a similar out-of-the-blue manner in, say, 2-3 months from now?

Plus, one thing we need to keep in mind is that while Star Convoy, the Seacons, and Super Megatron are all based on previous toys. Armada Prime is made from scratch.

Takara probably wants to perfect the combining system with his trailer before showing colored shots of the guy.

As nerve-wrecked as I am, I refuse to believe Armada Prime is canceled just like that. The second Takara themselves bring him up with teases, that's when we'll know.

(And about that Armada Prime being reworked into an MP, it might make me sound bad, but I'm hoping it's not the case, since that would make the price skyrocket. Maybe Armada Prime will be the first in a line that reboots the Unicron Trilogy toyline a la Diaclone. I really don't know. I just don't want to give up.)

 

Yeah, not liking that price at all, especially for so much shared engineering and part retooling from Cheetor that was only $80USD. Too early to say, but maybe they'll pack in a whole bunch of unnecessary accessories to justify the price?

 

Yeah... about that... Tigatron might use elements of Cheetor's engineering, but they have swapped around some bits and added whole new ones. It's a pretty massive retool, actually, without even getting into the new size issue. He's going to have a much higher parts count AND need more plastic for all that size and mass.

Again, not at all justifying the high prices. But he's much, much more closely analogous to Dinobot in terms of size and complexity than he is Cheetor, despite appearances.

 

I'd hope they at least include a stand

Scrapper and overload look amazing in person definitely some of the best, they put mixmaster and scavenger to shame 
why can\'t we get really close I,ages of those 2 yet we get close images of everything else

sad that overload is basically bigger than scavenger when scavenger is like 3 times his height

if he can only stand straight up and can\'t look how he looks in the movie on all fours, I will never combine them ever because why waste my time doing that if he looks wrong

I doubt Armada Prime has been canceled but I can’t blame folks for being concerned that such a thing has happened.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve never heard of Takara or Hasbro revealing/teasing a figure and then going completely radio silent in regards to it. It’s been a full year since Armada Prime was (and last) shown. I am hoping it’s because they’re wanting to get it right before they show it again, but I don’t blame people for being worried.

 

Yeah, I can't remember HasTak ever showing a collector-oriented figure at a show and then cancelling it with no comment.

Oh, I totally get that, especially due to the larger scale and necessary support thereof, but for them to try to make the argument that a significant amount of time or resources went into designing and engineering this new release would be a HUGE exaggeration in this case.

 

With current pricing MP Arcee.......$160.00?  NO matter the price she will be over priced.
