I would say yes, smoked version looks better in my opinion.

Yes but smoke version hasn't decals like texts, skulls, etc.

Already pulled out some sweet god-09s for around 91$ on Aliexpress. We'll see how this goes.
But yeah, I'm gonna miss some of those badass "REVENGE FROM HELL" marks :dunce

It just only has the main "bulldog" logo, but nothing more. And also the color is brighter and less movie accurate.

I finally got him! (again) He's incredibly sexi and I'm very happy to have my 2007-11 movie Decepticons display complete!

one hip tends to unpeg sometimes, can't remember if it's left or right. But the backpack is a bigger issue.

That tab underneath the backpack is a little b1tch to peg. You need to adjust all those shoulder panels first but even then he likes to pop off when you move the claw.
    IMG_20200322_101353.jpg
yeah I noticed that now. The right hip likes to unpeg. Again, not a dealbreaker since I don't play with these complex 3p figures very often tho I don't remember my previous god-09 having that issue.

Surprisingly, my backpack gives me no issues with either of those tabs. Guess I lucked out there.

Same though, I only transform them every once in a while so it's no deal breaker. Thanks for the feedback :)

    Afternoon all !

I'm after a bit of advice haha.

I've just received my God-09S from a Chinese seller on eBay.

I have to say, I'm completely in love with this guy. I've never particularly bought anything outside of a G1 style before but I couldn't not grab this figure.

The transformation was a bit of a chew but I really enjoyed it to be fair, but I have a problem.

I have successfully managed to push the head back to get access to the LEDs, but the switch on mine appears to be broken. Whereas I can see on videos on YouTube the switch in its normal position, mine is just rattling about loosely :(

What is the best thing to do ? I've contacted the seller on eBay so waiting for a response there, but is it an easy fix to unscrew and reseat the switch ? I've noticed a small screw on the underside of the head, but after removing it, there doesn't seem to be any give anywhere to pry it open ?

    All advice appreciated, thanks :)

A few slightly blurry (sorry, had my toddler baying for my attention) in-hand shots of and thoughts on the camo version, if anyone's interested - couldn't find many myself when I was thinking of buying it, so may be useful.

    IMG_20200630_190400.jpg

Fairly happy with it, though the fit is frustratingly loose on the removable parts, e.g. his claws and the wrist-cannons fall off at the slightest provocation. Don't know if that's a problem with the other versions/ Definitely a very involved transformation, but it really pays off - bot seems dramatically bigger than the fairly compact vehicle.

    20200630_190642.jpg

Don't enjoy the films but I do enjoy the alien/monster movie-like robot designs from the first film especially, hence going with the colour scheme I liked best, rather than a screen-accurate one. (Also I've got a desert camo Brawl on the way, and I didn't want two tan 'Cons). Had hoped it was fully-painted, but sadly it's just the camo-splodges on bare green plastic. Looks the part generally, though feels ever so slightly cheap in hand, at least compared to an MPM or even Hide Shadow.
    20200630_190531.jpg

Broadly happy with him, it's an imposing bot with striking colours, though in hindsight I'd probably have gone with the apparently fully-painted smoke deco instead. It's crying out for wrist-swivel, too...

Blurry bonus: battle of the alternate colour schemes.

Finally got mine last week, didn't knew there is a weathered version or I would've looked for it, anyway it looks awesome, transformation was a nightmare and the upper backpack tab pops out whenever it wants, other than that it has no issues with articulations or loose parts.

I bought the deep green version which is really cheap compare to others, I think around$60 with shipping, but that's before the COVID19.
