I just got this and like it but the forearm attachment method is just crap and the calf cover pieces require filing to plug in properly. The front clip trailer attachment is very tight and the front and back of the bot plug in poorly but make sure the arms are pulled all the way out. Overall still like this figure a lot but it also highlights how weak Ginrai's joints are and how ridiculously short the thighs are that are slid out. It is very apparent that longer thighs could have been incorporated into the design to improve proportions.

 

well, mine arrived today and he LOOKS great. lots of shitty tolerances and, as others have noted, the shin flaps are a bitch to tab in. i had to enlarge the slot to get them to go. even then, the knee area details don't line up at all. it just seems a bit sloppy. mine also has some weird issue with the waist. videos make it seem ratcheted, but mine just flops back and forth. the arm connectors are also the stupidist shit i have ever seen.

 

As I've mentioned before, my black version doesn't have the leg panel issue, but my normal version has it on both legs. Wonder what changed that the normal one's don't tab in as flush?

 

Oh yeah, those forearm bits are a horrible design. That could have been done much better.

Finally got these guys combines and for photo's, he's great and looks perfect with Double Evil.

My only wish when another company tackles it, hopefully KFC judging by his renders, it'd be so much nicer if he was much more streamlined. There's just too many pieces sticking out everywhere, especially from the side.

And also, I wish the God Armor stuff was more secure than just attaching via friction. The wings clipping in at the top and and then pegging in is probably the most secure connection and it's good enough. Push the rest just plugging in without tabs or anything to "lock" just feels weird to me.

 

Is there a v2 coming out of this regular colored version? Most places seem to be sold out but the Fans Hobby site has a preorder for what may be a second run.

Looks great from the front, but looks a little too thick from the side. Admittedly this is a flaw that most Super God Ginrais will have.
