    I rest my case.

Btw, my weekly update on those nasty Hound parts are due next Monday, February 10,2020. Which part is gonna break first?

We got a Hot Toys Transformer and it cost $300 and didn’t do shit. Imagine the price if they spent time R-N-Ding, designing, and engineering it to be able to transform which includes added parts count as well.

But some collectors want their MPs to do the Mc Farlanesque Stix poses. :lolol and still expect the fig to remain pristine. Maybe TT should shift to the actual Titanium joints (not the dumpter fire that was the Titanium series (die-cast for the sake of)

Toy Story 2. Just enjoy the ride.

What a disappointment that was. I remember being so excited about it (when I was heavily into HT).

I'll take a $450 Prime (mine didn't even cost that much but who gives a fuck at this point) vs that abomination.

You can look at it that way if you want, but by your own comparisons a designer chair wouldn't just break from sitting in it and designer clothing wouldn't be expected to come apart at the seams just from wearing it a few times.

So whether it's a "toy" or a "high end collectible" in your eyes, a MP should be able to transform back and forth without breaking. That's literally the bare minimum that a "Transformers" transforming figure is expected to do, let alone other simple actions like attaching accessories and moving robot parts for different poses that all should be capable of doing without the figure falling apart.

Holy shit I just got notified that my order from NY just shipped! Hopefully it arrives in one piece. I told them 2 days ago that if it didnt ship this week, I'd be contacting my bank. I just hope it arrives in decent manner and there arent any breakages.

    Bollocks.

Designer furniture can still be used as furniture, and in some instances, would be of far superior quality to cheap furniture.

I have some designer clothes (and sneakers). The quality is out of the world and very much designed to be worn. You take extra care of them because of their value, not their fragility. I don't cover my $400+ sneakers in plastic bags, tip toe on them and only wear them for 30 minutes a day out a fear that normal, careful use will make them fall apart. If they DID fall apart under normal, but careful use, they would be considered defective.

This IS a toy. To be sold in Western countries (and not via import) it would still need to pass safety standards that all toys do.

And it sure as f*ck better be able to do what it is advertised to do. Which is transform. More than 30 times if the user uses due caution. I don't think total kid gloves, slathering your toy with lubricants, 2 hour terrifying transformation ordeals and only touching it within a strict temperature range is at all acceptable, but thats what people here are being made to do.

Hound is a defective product that cannot be used for the manner it is advertised and intended to be used for. If Tak/Tom were an Australian company, Australians would be able to contact consumer groups about it.

Congrats! I really hope you don't have any QC issues with it because they won't help you. Waiting for the outcome on my chargeback for my faulty MP-45.

The QC issues alone meant I was very happy to get the PayPal refund for Hound. Will be ordering shortly from the ever reliable Ohmyprimus. Dennis is going to check mine over before sending it out.

So you can't address the points just continue on with your absurd comebacks and name calling.

no I don't read tfw every hour...

Your beliefs somehow ignore that until recent years... the MP line was plenty durable and able to be transformed without worry.

35 years from now I'll nearly be 80 and won't be far from being a pile of dust myself if I'm so lucky. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy my still unfractured MP Hound for as long as he holds up.

this is self serving... price has to do with what they can get... not product quality or designer level stuff.

I guess we quickly forget figures MP-27 and below...

mans everyone can stop worrying about how complex transformations are or not... since people think that's something you shouldn't be doing anyway... smh

No doubt there are widespread manufacturing problems with Hound, but I've seen plenty of breakages with MP-05 Megatron and MP-09 Rodimus, I've seen MP-10 leg and backpack panels snapped off, plenty of fins that sheared off Laserbeak and Buzzsaw, cracks on the torso hinges on Ravage and the wings on Buzzbeak , cracks and breakages on Wheeljack's wings, Hot Rod visors broken off, rough looking chrome on MP-10 and Soundwave and Frumble, chrome that rubbed right off the vans and Hot Rod, paint that falls off Ratchet and Grapple, shoddy paint on Sideswipe, Prowl, both MPs Bumblebee, paint wear on the bottom of Soundwave's feet, scrape-off paint on Primal, arm panel breakages on Cheetor... Again, Hound's widespread plastic problems are inexcusable (mine's still crack free), but I strongly disagree that qc problems are new to the line, that everything was gold until recently.

Oh bugger. Never thought of it like that. I to will be near 80. Hope I'll still be here to see what remains of my figures :) .

Anyway, I've got the money to drop on this figure.

Have to wonder what the chances are of TT fixing the problems when the inevitable reissue comes.

My finger is sorely tempted to click 'confirm' on my tfs-express order, but this is putting me off.
