Everyone, it's a known issue with the mold.

 

Just saw your vid on one of the FB groups and this is great. Can't believe how much better the MP-44 face makes Meteor look even more perfect.

 

Meteor is the perfect starscream, its kinda sad that it doesn't come with the accessories he's shown with in the Transformers Movie (Not Michael Bay, G1) but other than that it goes miles past Masterpiece 2.0.

 

Except for the head/face. Takara has the edge there and when you have the two next two each other, the smaller head on the Maketoys stands out in an odd/bad way, despite the rest of the figure being awesome.
I have both and keep thinking about selling Meteor because in the end, the head/face of the Takara just stands out as being so much better/in proper proportion, imo. Even if you replace the head on Meteor with a Takara version, that does not work for me, as then you have a figure that will not transform unless you pop the head off and that kind of nullifies the point of the figure for me.

 

i dont transform my figures any ways. but if you transform them too much i figure the joints would get to floppy. so i`m happy with my meteor aka star scream. i did use the hasbro mp-11 star cream sculpt and up graded his hands with those kfc ones he looks a lot better now.

 

Funny. I don't like the TT MP-11 face. It doesn't look like toon Starscream at all. The one that came with Optimus 3.0 looks alright but it is too big. I'm happy with Meteor the way he is.

 

None of the Starscreams have a good looking face, they all look like shit.

Edit: exaggerated, but none look great.

 

Got your adapter - it works great! Only slight criticism is that it does make the head sit a little more forward than I'd prefer. Mine also needed slight filing to make it easier to slide off the head. Thanks again!

 

Thanks for the purchase! There is a slight chance you put the adapter in from the side instead of front to back. It's slightly rectangular. Might also explain why it sits slightly forward. But I'm glad you got it working anyway! Have a look at my video as well:

No I have it on right - and it does sits centered on the peg - just is more forward cause the head is larger than meteor's stock head. I got a different adapter from another board member and he situates the peg hole further forward so the head sits back more but has no neck to speak of on his design and it's loose so I like yours more! Just slight nit pick and I still like it the way it is either way.

Now if you could design and mass produce a folding red butt flap we'd love you even more!
