So tidal wave gets to deploy a couple little minions and gets to tap any enemy upon combining? Oh my, yes please!

 

Your a little behind on the combining stuff. There was a whole set full of these combining guys. And they were 5 and 6 cards teams.

I'm so happy with tidal wave. Finally a 25 point dude with some flexablility and growning power in him. This is how trypticon and metroplex should have been done.
A star count instead of set characters.

 

So titan class Tidal Wave is definitely coming sooner or later; why else would these be made outside of a dedicated Armada wave? Maybe it could be a remold of Omega Supreme?

 

I don't know if the cards an indication of anything coming out. This wave is specifically called a "Throw Back" wave to reference lore and toys already out.

That said, a Tidal Wave coming out at Titan (or even Commander) class would be amazing. I think I'd actually prefer Commander class because that would be able to armor up a future leader Armada Megatron.

 

These toys have mold will be bad thing if he does get made into toy it be interesting to see how many parts he have to transform this figure

 

24 Stars. Probably to fit that Stratagem set for Combiners in W5.

Reminding us Combiners are a thing is definitely setting up for their return. If not in this wave, soon. Can't recall how many combiners are left, but hopefully they'd include the Seacons now that they're back at the forefront.

Doesn't mean he's getting a toy, just means Hasbro is digging through the back catalog for characters.

I am contractually obligated every time someone mentions a Commander Tidal Wave to rally support for him to use CW ports to attach his arms (and maybe his legs).

 

Whoa....that's weird....I'm not sure how I feel about that. So he'll crush smaller guys but not as effective agents other combines and titans.

 

It's a fun idea, but doesn't help Volcanicus' biggest problem, that Grimlock dies before he can bring his buddies in.

If not a Titan Class Figure at least a Commander Class, I hope is in the Cards (Pun Intended) for the Earthrise line

 

The Wossy pointed out that if you play this Stratagem card with Wave 2 Dinobots, you can not run Grimlock/Slog/Sludge because that team is now 26 stars. So you would have to run Grimlock, either Slog or Sludge and either Swoop or Snarl in order to not go over 25 stars.

 

In Turbo, Swap Heads will be a dead card because if you pull that card & only 1 headmaster, the effect will not be able to be triggered.

 

Yeah, it is still a problem. But once you combine Volcanus basically kills a person a turn. So we didn’t get help with the risk, but we did get help with the reward.

Yeah, that’s very true. It’s also troubling for the other combiners from wave two as they don’t have a way to come in under 25 stars and grab a stratagem. Other than Dreadwind. I’m really hoping for help for Menasor but I’m not sure how it happens now.

 

Another possible Wave 2 Dinobots team build with the Stratagem would be Grimlock, Swoop and Snarl which would be 24 stars leaving room for 1 star card.

 

With Tidal Wave's Transport & Aircraft Carrier alt modes, can you have more than 1 4* or less character underneath to deploy so you can possibly go 7 wide?

 

What exactly do you mean? The card text states "This starts with a plane or helicopter" are you asking if you can do both?

I am asking if you can have more than one plane underneath the aircraft carrier and can you have more than one car, truck or tank underneath the transport. I understand that you can only deploy one plane, helicopter, tank, car or truck with the ability.

I remember playing Pokemon where I thought playing a Trainer card meant you could only play one card per turn & was told that the a article & the word one were not synonymous.

 

Oh weird. I guess it would be a question for WoTC. But I find it hard to imagine they'd let you store an undetermined number of characters under the card. With enough blue you'd really be able to mess with the intended game balance.
