Does anyone else think Scorpy’s base mode looks a little small?

To match TR / LG Fortress Maximus. In all modes like the original G1 cartoon character did fictionally. Plus it also makes the middle Zarak robot mode match his Headmasters appearance, where he was usually the same size as most of the other Decepticons.

at 80 bucks skylynx better split

edit: to clarify im sure they will but i know a lot of people are concerned about it, more evidence is the red bits under the shuttle of sky lynx's beast mode, these red bits are likely his legs and funny enough the g1 toy's are also visible

You know... he wouldn't really be in scale with my IDW themed collection, but fuck it: I'd be down for an 80 dollar commander class Fort Max, especially if they did a repaint in IDW colors. I was never going to be able to afford MMC R-50 Supermax - and he's not even happening - so this would be the next best thing. (Unless Planet X comes out with an IDW Fort Max before that point. Then I'll have my ideal Leader class scaled IDW Fort Max, and I'll be golden.)

Just recently, I bought the Race Car Patrol and Springer, sitting on shelves for quite some time. But now I think about getting the full Hot Rod Patrol (both sets, I guess) since we already have one in the first wave of Earthrise, then this new releases looks kinda promising.
The full Hot Rod Patrol is not my top priority at this point, but grabbing the Micros is a joy for those struggling with shelfwarmers. Yes, I still see abundant Titans Return Titan Masters in the bottom shelf of my nearest TRU.

It could be reasonably done too, while I don't know how they would handle Omega, Tryp, and Metro, you could totally do more comic styled Max and Scorp!

Nahhh man, not ramps but funky robot surfboards! Cowabunga! XD

I dunno. I really rather like the Metroplex we got. It was Fortress Maximus I was disappointed in. He used too much of Metroplex and was left with left over parts from Metroplex like the arm connector on his right underarm or the legs that didn't transform correctly to the G1 design and no hip guns because we needed to put a robot in the tower XD Then there was not linking the legs in battleship mode and no real weapons and vestigial Metroplex shins as arm ramps. Fortress Maximus is one I think needs a redo, lol.

I was thinking maybe an all new mold with a straight repaint for Generations Selects as Machine Wars Sandstorm and possibly heavy retool as Whirl given that we've already got some Wreckers in WFC.

Agreed. I would have liked T30 Metroplex to be blockier, but a new version would not improve the other modes much. Fort Max's playability, in contrast, was utterly gutted. Prefer Grandus over either, though.

Do you think Sky Lynx will be made to scale with his rival Predaking? Siege Omega was specifically constructed to scale with his rival CW Devastator so will they follow suit with this new Sky Lynx? 20200202_084929.jpg 20200131_151756.jpg 20200131_151749.jpg

Despite his name, Grandus isn't canonical that massive all things considered. He's about as tall as star convoy, so I could see a really stout wide Commander class one, but Titan would just be too big for the guy. I'm still hoping for one, go with SC, and it leaves the doors open for a Sky Garry!

It really does look that way, but I'm wondering if it's because they have Zarak enlarged to show what he looks like in the photo. Zarak is Voyager sized it seemed, compared to how Fort Max's head scaled with his body, I'm sure he's going to be plenty big enough, but that photo definitely makes him seem a little smaller...

It's neat to see what's shelf warming in different areas! My Walmarts and TRU's have an abundance of just Starscreams, Chromias, and Hounds. I've seen one Springer ever in a Walmart, I'd grab one in a split if I saw it in person!

I don't think so, that Spinister mold was made with Spinister in mind primarily, Rotorstorms design has a cockpit chest, I think Spinister would take way too much retooling to look like Rotorstorm to be worth it. I'm thinking new copter mould altogether.

I could be totally wrong though, we saw Overlord retooled into a pretty convincing Black Shadow, and Overlord is probably one of the most 'one use molds' I could think of.

Unfortunately I don't think so, with Predaking being Titan Combiner sized, a Commander class fig just won't be able to scale. Jetfire, as a humanoid dude for refrence, would be much smaller than Predaking already, so I don't anticipate Sky Lynx being able to size up unfortunately.

I think we should get a monstructor as next titan. He requires six bots, and I think idw has depicted him the same size as other combiners. And since I can't see them in the mainline individually, he'd make a great titan. Just saying. American g1 pretender so he is in warden's eyesight. And honestly? He needs more representation. Only fansproject has done him since g1

Cerebros and the bigger zarak are roughly the same size, there’s no way that scorponok is the same size as omega
You might think it’s a waste and unlikely but after omega was fully shown warden specifically name dropped scorponok and metroplex as the next titans he would like to do

    Agreed.

Admittedly, I did get a couple of upgrades for my Generations Metroplex - MMM's excellent ramp extensions, X2 Toys' Interceptor transformable gun (I have the Hasbro version which only came with one), and ToyHax's sticker upgrade set - and have been on the fence about Siege Six-gun and the DNA Design feet upgrades for a while.
But overall, I've been very happy with him, and had no problem parting with my original G1 Metroplex as part of a recent collection cull.

With TR Fort Max, however, I just haven't been able to bring myself to part with the cash. I feel like I would also have to splash out on several upgrade kits to fully fit him out - potentially doubling the price (or more???) And realistically, one dose of the mold is enough for me.

Meanwhile, my G1 Reissue Fort Max is 100% complete and in pristine condition; posability aside - which I've never been as fussed about as many on here apparently are - why change? G1 Reissue FM scales perfectly to the Titans; he has a city mode that LOOKS LIKE A CITY MODE; and has all the weapons and accessories I could ask for ALREADY INCLUDED.

What I would really like - and am very much looking forward to - is a Scorponok that can look him (and Generations 'Plex) in the eye. As much as I loved my G1 Scorpy (a lot!) I just couldn't get over his lack of size compared to FM, selling him in my aforementioned collection cull - so that I'd have the funds for Earthrise Scorponok.
    Bring him on!!!

What precedent would there be to do a Titan class Monstructor?

I would think that the next titan after Scorponok would either be Superion or Bruiticus.  I would like to see better representations of those characters, especially if they made the Combaticons as the true WWII vehicle they started out as.
