    I sent a tweet in Japanese to TT, asking if they are planning a reissue that fixes the QC issues.

    No reply yet but another Japanese fan did quote me and added to the conversation. He was a bit more eloquent, adding a picture of the damage on his figure and asking for TT to acknowledge the issue and provide customer service.

    Hopefully more J-fans join in and we can get a reply from TT. Will let you guys know if I hear anything back.

    Did you pay with a linked credit card or debit card? If so file a chargeback with your bank.

    Mine didn't even get closed, my order just went from order cancelled to refunded.

    Paypal ? If you a "good" customer you can reach them and they might do something for you. My dispute was closed so quickly with my refund that I suspect paypal to be fed up with Nippon Yasan.

    Transformation memorized and I figured out all the tolerances and tabs and how much force should be involved. Transformed the replacement 3 times and went back to my good copy and did one more transformation from Jeep back to bot mode. If cracks aren't an issue, this can be a masterpiece I can play with many years to come. Paint chipping is an issue, but I'll take that over broken plastic any day. The replacement Hound will be the transforming junker. The transformation really is well done once you can figure out the flow. If the junker doesn't survive, I got 30 days to replace it. Good stuff.

    Emgo's Just Transform It videos are super helpful for me. I've said before that I wish he could go back and do older figures like that.

    He does have a full-on transformation video as well (and he's even done another one since then!) that I found the most helpful of any video I watched:

    or if you really, really still want hound, just wait until the inevitable reissue that TT will do. maybe, just maybe, if they are good, they might be able to use better materials or fix the problem. but who knowis, it took them 9 years between MP9 and the recent reissue to put in the fixes for the knees. but if it is a general material problem which it looks like it is, you are likely rolling a rigged dice.
