I think something is happening with Botcon, whether it’s Pub or Hasbro I have no clue, but it’s clear something is stoking the coals.
I hope this doesn’t mean they fired their Facebook people. They’re pretty good sometimes. For corporate social media, they’re very above average.
Interesting. I used to work at OMD in 2014. Discovered they had Hasbro's account, tracked down the account manager and had a conversation with him. Some takeaways from the discussion: Little to no marketing put into generations (at the time) as all efforts were concentrated on the movie lines. This was because Hasbro knows parents are generally indifferent to movie vs generations toys and will just buy whatever; kids will demand movie toys. Hasbro was very aware of the collector community and also knew they'd have the support of the community no matter what was spent on marketing...hence very little was spent on generations. At the end of the conversation he gave me a leader AOE grimlock.
