But someone, maybe even 2 or 3 someones, a ways back in the thread, got bad Hounds from Big Bad. I remember one for sure was bad right out of the box (broken straight away, still in the tray, I think). I get most of my collectibles from them, with the wide release MPs from Amazon Japan and certain exclusives from other lines that they won't get being the only big exceptions, so I'm not knocking Big Bad at all. Just letting you know bad Hounds from BBTS have happened.

Point being, you can't completely eliminate the potential for getting a bad Hound by going with any certain retailer. Good and bad seem to be happening no matter who you go with. (Maybe TCP is "all" good ones, if the above conversation's claims have validity, but who knows for sure, really?) It sucks that it's the crapshoot that it is, but that's how this release turned out.

If you check it carefully the thighs of the robot mode are die cast. It is why it is sort of like a bit heavy compared to other carbots.

The good thing with BBTS/TCP/TD is that they are SO GOOD that you might still be able to get any sort of help from them after a while, unlike say, AJP.

    Agreed!
I just want to make it clear that I’m not claiming tcp is 100% good, but given a small sample size of around 8 hounds, I haven’t seen any breakages. I want to expand my sample size but apparently nobody here buys from tcp but me! More people should to pad my data!

@Dean ML said it best, it’s the manufacturer’s issue. The retailers do their best to help. Wish everyone good luck regardless. My second replacement is coming tomorrow.

    My update:

First one is still good. So that will be my go to copy. Will keep watching Paik4life to make sure I follow his advice. His videos had good pointers.

FWIW, BBTS, last time I checked, will not help you beyond 30 days of purchasing/receiving the unit. So if you get Hound from them, best to inspect it as much as possible for breakages as soon as you get it.

Big buddy, how long since you received him? Mine is on the 3rd Saturday/week. Still no cracks yet. You live in the tropics or temperate country?

    12/26/19

Posted a day after about it here: Masterpiece HOUND MP-47

    Living in SoCal.

Looking at it again now, it seems already has a "crack" (fused, tho) by then. $&(#%&@$*&%.

    edit:

    final/returned 01/26/20:
    mp47-012620.jpg

    edit2:

Not sure if the 12/26/19 pic's "crack"-part is really a crack. Looks already fused, actually.

However, the 01/26/20 pic's bottom "cracked"-part was definitely a crack. It's clearly gaping outwards, while the top-part is not and is still-fused.

I've had Hound for over 3 weeks now, but still haven't transformed him. I see no cracks anywhere, but still.. for one knowing the doors are actually clear plastic worries me most, then the rears flaps, then the armature for the gun. Estheticly, he's perfect though, but this time I CAN wait to transform him...

Has anyone received or even had shipped their MP47 yet from Nippon Yasan? Query after query they’re promising but nothing yet which is most odd for them as Ive had loads of TF from them in years gone by without issue.

I wonder if these figures are made in more than one factory. I swear there was something similar with MP-44 with the knees. It just seems like the initial wave from AJP on that one and also on Hound suffered from some issue. I have nothing to base that on other than what I have observed.

The doors are not clear plastic. They're opaque green plastic like the rest of the figure.

The breakages I've seen made me suspect it's atleast translucent. (Technically speaking the windshield is not opaque like the rest of the figure, so I figured it might have shared the sprue.)

Unfortunately as it was a pre-order it was over 180 days ago when I paid :(

Anybody who filed a dispute with NY had any other preorders paid for? Did they close your account and refund everything?

No, they close your account, and when the dispute ends and they return the money, they open the account again as it was.

Yes, the windshield is clear plastic, but I was referring to the green plastic found on the rest of the toy. The doors are neither clear, nor translucent - they are 100% opaque plastic.
