His colors are really nice...except for that weird white patch. Never understood why they added white to so many characters

I guess? It just looks lazy compared to the other studios. Maybe I'm in the minority

I remember seeing the rebirth for the first time ever as an adult in 2007 or so and absolutely hating that white skunk stripe they put on Prime’s head for Season 4.

I love the s1 head! It's the "correct" head to use when he has his ax, too!

IT's roundhead appreciation time. Love that we can change up the look of the shelf easily with a simple head swap and a pose.

Hound: Ok Prime I think I've found a solution to our Decepticon problem. I had Ratchet check Teletraan-1's databanks and we found this guy from one of your old adventures.

Prime: Ahh... hello old friend. Hound, you're a genius.

Bumblebee: Prime, I don't remember you mentioning this guy before. Tell us about him.

    Prime: Sure, Bumblebee.

Great shots and poses, man! Yeah, it's crazy how the heads give the figure a really different feel, changing both the aesthetic and proportions (the round head is a bit smaller). I could not pick a preference between either which is one of the reasons I'm glad to have two copies. My shelf copy usually has the s2/Movie head since he's surrounded by all those characters but my desk copy usually has the s1 head.

I usually have the S2 head on him since it suits the proportions of his body better. But the way they sculpted prime is crazy how it can give you different looks based on the pose and your viewing angle. So you can still make the round head work with the right pose. With the newer face sculpts having a frowning or smiling look based on your viewing angle, I have to think they've been putting a lot of thought & effort into making this work. Even the paint has that weird magic going on where different lighting can make them look very different.

Go ahead--use those features you paid for!

I haven't looked at mine, but his S1 head has that straight of an antennae?

First thing I did when I received my Prime was install the Season 1 INTRO head then straighten those antennas. I haven't looked looked back.

It’s honestly my preferred head. I’ve said it before, but the round head looks more like the Optimus Prime- Action Hero of seasons 1-2. The square head feels more like a last-stand, wise-mentor Prime, and while I love them both, I prefer Action Hero Prime. Mine wears round head all the time.

9605DF71-98F3-432E-AB5E-51DD4EEAB154.jpeg I’m a big fan of the season 1 head too! Prime usually stands with the season 1 cast so it’s my go-to. The season 2 head is very nice as well of course...best 2 Prime head sculpts ever! :)

Man we’ve come a long way...

It’s truly amazing what a repaint and new head sculpt did for blue streak! As for the rest, I have over half the cast/figures we loved packed back in their boxes and probably won’t see the light of day anytime soon. The shift to toon accurate figure is everything I personally wanted since a kid. These things are my holy grails!

Would anyone have a link to download the PDF that, I think @BrutiKing or @Jarrod did to show how to carry out all the repairs and paint jobs to this figure?

Had it saved to my old memory card and have lost it.

Man, this is amazing, its really hard to find pics of the season 1 portrait. If/when I finally get an MP44, it will definitely be rocking the season 1 portrait!
