To be fair Ditka had issues but they immediately released replacement knees and ankles that fixed the problem. Yeah it shoulda been caught before it came out but they made it right and sent the parts to retailers who then sent them to people who had bought them and subsequent figures were sent with the replacement parts. I've got three of these guys (each with the replacement parts) and they stand fine. Sure its top and back heavy but that's Blitzwing's design and any other figures that comes out will be as well if they want it to look like that character in bot mode. Speaking of which, he's spot on in all 3 modes which is highly unusual for a triple changer that usually sacrifices one mode so the other 2 can look "good enough".

It also doesn't help that most people are putting the heel spurs flat and not into "Heels" which fixes all the other standing issues he might have had. Not that people didn't have bad experiences in the end (I have a friend here I trust a lot who still hates it) but I think most people just jump on the "Ditka train" to say "it's the worst thing ever!" just because it's popular to do so. Of course, YMMV and that's just my experience and opinion.

I just want to see 3D representations of the characters I loved from the shows on my shelf so I can have them right there. It's important they CAN transform. It's not important that I DO transform them, if at all, if that makes sense.

If you want to replace the screws and have one in your area, try Menards. They actually (credit to my wife for finding this) have a "Micro Screw" section in their screw department that consists of those slide out drawer compartments full of little micro screws that fit Transformers perfectly. I replaced some stripped Fans Toys ones and some missing ones with screws from that section and they're the right thread, size and length for what I needed. Of course, they offer many sizes and types so you'll find what you're looking for as they sell silver and black ones. They come in those little individual baggies for like 50 cents a bag or something...I actually stocked up when I was there because they're so cheap and handy to have on hand.

Makes perfect sense. That line always makes me chuckle, just because something is capable of something should it automatically mean everyone must do it? And do it regularly?

Of course not. Put it in another context, just because I can run doesn't mean I have to run or run regularly.

Thanks ever so much for the advise.

I tend not to transform my figures either so I shouldn't really worry about how durable they are, as long as they stick.

Again, thanks for the advise. I shall give them another go. :thumb

Putting into another context, I only watch TV once a week or so. However, I expect it to turn on whenever I do hit the power button.

Mind has a stress mark also.

Are people finding that the ab crunch is a bit loose? Meaning the locking teeth/system that control it aren’t as strong (given both the top and bottom on the body are heavy) but wish if was stiffer.
Mostly when I’m handing him, he’ll just flop over when in a position where he is top/bottom heavy. Just need to handle with care...

Wonder if there’s a way to strengthen it?

Don't be nervous.. it'll backfire on you.
In the meantime just watch any reviews on YouTube, so that you'll be prepared once the item is in hand.

Yeah, I had honestly forgotten about the replacement parts thing with Ditka cuz I installed them right away and don't really remember what he was like before then. And I absolutely agree on all good modes except I feel like his jet nosecone is a little narrow.

Good to know about Menards - unfortunately the closest one is in the next state. I wonder if there's any other stores nearby that might stock all those tiny screws.

See there's your problem. You need a combination suspenders/bra. I'm sure that would work perfectly with absolutely no drawbacks.

I applied a small amount of clear nail polish and it has helped.

I also mentioned something about the head being a little loose when rotating it and popping off easily. I cut of a small piece of a styrene sheet and inserted it into the hole where the head goes. It feels tighter now. Most hobby and model shops should sell styrene sheets

I'll keep that in mind. Don't think I need any right now but every now and then I do some customizing so you never know. Thanks!

Sorry if I missed it in all the posts but anyone else have this piece break on them? I snapped the very first time I transformed it.

it seems like that broken piece isn’t meant to move so I think I can super glue or epoxy it in place. What do you guys think? I emailed xtb to see if I can get a proper replacement part.

edit: looking at it again is that cylinder supposed to be able to slide inside that circular space? It just looks like it was connected at the spots I circled.
