Thanks man, I've been trying to add a little bit of detail to each figure without going into the fully painted level. So far I am satisfied. I should really post a picture of all the figures so far.

Yo, is Rampage supposed to have an ankle tilt? I'm not seeing one on mine

 

Nope. Only his shoulders move. But there is a custom to give him moving ankles.

It's easy to give rampage ankle tilt in foot mode just take his blasters and put them in his hands

 

Are you fully extending his waist joint? It's supposed to be fully collapsed, the two spiky bits on the top of his pogo should be almost touching the backs of his hands.
The giant ratchet that makes his waist joint is a giant ratchet because it's devastator's ankle joint, same as Long Haul.

 

I wonder how production numbers reflect combined form requirements? Are they made in even numbers? It is aggravating for those now looking for scrap metal. hopefully it is re released.

I have the first 4 releases and was thinking I was going to wait until they were all out to see if devastator is even worthy, that might be a mistake though and I imagine the sensible thing to do is just buy the parts as they come out, if I find the combined form is weak (floppiness will be a deal breaker) no doubt he can be sold on.

 

I saw an interesting idea in a thread about Skipjack (yellow Rampage) that they may offer a partial solution to this through redecos/remolds. Can't find Rampage anymore? - here's Skipjack. Can't find Long Haul? - get Payload. (etc).

 

I dunno, stores are still full of them, Rampage and Long Haul even showed up in Hungary in stores. And pretty sure you can just order them from Hasbropulse if you want them, I did not see them listed as out of stock.

Scrapmetal is rare in the US? Here numerous webshops still carry him, it's where I got him from too.

Maybe HabsroPulse will have an article on them eventually. This is probably the first time a combiner team is designed and released in waves, not all at once.

Woah, I didn't even know Rampage HAD blasters...until messing with it last night one of his grey pistons popped off

That’s not necessary. When transformed according to the instructions, the ankle has natural and unobstructed tilt joints on both the X axis and the Z axis. The guns don’t obstruct anything, and never need to be removed from where they sit in vehicle mode.

All other combiners were designed at the same time and released in usually 1-2 waves so they are on shelves at the same time.
Never before was it so that when the first 2-3 toys were designed, they others were not even in prototype stage, and that they would be released half a year after the first one was.
