This is the same reason I did'nt end up getting MP 44, even though I really, really want one, theres just too high a chance to get one with issues. I get these are mass produced, but at this price point the Q.C. should really be better.

 

Did your copy from BBTS come in a Hasbro shipper box/slipcover?

 

I'm afraid it's a matter of time. I only did one back @ forth transformation, and never felt like I was forcing anything. I hope I'm paranoid and it's only the paint.

I think @Megatron31 also got his from BBTS. He looked fine, transformed it fine, but found a crack shortly after. I think it was the back armature crack.

Did yours fully crack in splitted pieces and is it still functional ?

 

Fully functional, gorgeous as all the pretty pictures but I know it’s got hair line cracks at the back of the armature, driver side door hinge, under bumper hinge and now the back of the leg hinge. Nothing visible from a foot and a half away but it doesn’t FEEL good. I’m trying to just live with it. Be Zen about it. I could return it but I rather have it than not.

 

Good news. Maybe those lines were already there on mine and I didn't notice them because there are very thing. You have to be very close to see it, under bright light. I don't know if they use magnified lents in QC, but it's easy to miss

 

Two of my crack were there BEFORE I even took it out of the plastic tray. I saw it and cursed out loud. The other two cracks I watched develop over two weeks. I took note of where others have reported damage and keep an eye on it while it’s displayed gorgeously in my MP shelve. Sure enough, it slowly formed cracks over days. Looking at your pictures, your cracks are very slight. They look pretty good, I wish I had yours, lol. But do yourself a favor, loosen the screw on the main armature holding Hound’s head. Loosen it about 4 turns. It’s under lots of unnecessary pressure and is one of the most common problem areas. Good luck.

 

I was feeling like that too. At first mine just had a crack in the bottom of that armature mount piece. I glued it, I sanded the post and the inside of the hole. I thought I’d saved the one broken part on an otherwise good figure.

Then a few days later the crack expanded all the way up that part. “Still fine”, I told myself. “I’ll just glue it when I have a moment.” It didn’t feel good, but I would make the best of it.

When the left door simply came off while transforming him I decided it was time to request a replacement from Amazon JP.

The replacement, so far, is so much better. Assuming it doesn’t develop any breakage then I’ve been very fortunate in the exchange. Still need to pack up and send back my original order… and I’m hoping that I won’t have cause eventually to end up returning my replacement.

If you’re still able to get a replacement, it may be worth seeing how another copy holds up. In any case, I feel for ya.

First two have these mold lines. The first not so obvious but it is there. No breakage yet.

Over a week now and no breakage yet. Got him from Amiami.

Read back through the thread and haven't found any, but are there any reported casualties from Show.Z? Eyeballing mine (and keeping it) in vehicle mode, and no visible cracks yet upon very close inspection. Box no. J1719.
