The faces can store in the canopy. Extra mirrors are extra. :)

As nice as MP Hound looks, I'll stick with my G1, Classics, Siege, Legion, & Alternator Hounds!

My $95 Hound arrived today! Are there any flaws to look for in vehicle mode or will I not start seeing them until I transform him? I probably won’t get to it until Sunday.

You’re welcome! You could also put the faces in his torso in robot mode if you don’t mind them rattling around. :D

First thing is to inspect the exterior and joints for cracks. Common ones are on the doors and back I think. After transforming him you can see if you have cracks on other joints, shins and the back of the armature for the head. At least that's what I've been seeing in the thread.

Others can add more, or correct me if I'm wrong.

While it certainly helps and I would strongly advise to do so, it's not a guarantee a copy won't develop issues. Some of the cracks seem to be pre-existing on the inside of the joint or simply not yet visible through the paint. They become apparent over time.

The joint behind the front bumper started splitting on both my copies even after generous lubrication. Glue did the trick but it's still annoying and makes me think it's just a matter of time before something starts to give on most copies.

To me the issue is simple, the only effective message you can send to TT is to not buy this shit and give enough people do that they will listen and modify (in the good way). Otherwise this trend will continue with a higher price and lower quality.

I remember those days too, and even back then TFs had breakages. The difference was we didn’t have the internet available to connect with others and show pictures of our “cheap toys” breaking.

And before anyone says anything about kids playing rough with their toys, I was always careful with mine and wasn’t one to bash them together or carelessly toss them in a box.

Toy story 5: all the returned and disposed toys turn into a curse and cause other toys to break by themselves.

I honestly was thinking about hurting my broken figure's feelings when asking just for a replacement part instead of sending the whole thing back.

Like any other pricey product, handle with care. I used emgo's video tutorial to transform him. Of course do inspect him first before you transform him.

Fyi, I returned my copy with both door hinges broken out of the box from BBTS. I never transformed mine, so I can't tell you the run information.

BBTS was awesome with their customer service though, unlike another big retailer here that I had a bad experience with years ago.

That's interesting to hear. I can't peruse all of the posts again, but I'm trying to find out if anyone else had gotten a bad one from BBTS.

But without a doubt, they have the best customer service in the biz.

Awww. Careful that little one doesn't play rough - could probably pull MP-47's arm right off! :)
